The Lady from Shanghai (1947) Though I am not too crazy about the style which was confusing at times, the intricate story of a murder was very intriguing. Quai des Orfèvres (1947) A dancer with a extremely jealous husband, the cause of all the problem involving a crime. Plenty of humor. The leading lady Suzy Delair was excellent including singing a few tune. The actor, Louis Jouvet, playing the inspector stole the show. M3GAN (2022) A young woman who is a robot engineer had to take care of her niece. Not having time, she use a robot as a surrogate parent. The robot tried to protect the little girl in anyway possible, and the result turned dark. Not sophisticated, but surprisingly good. Beau Is Afraid (2023) Ari Aster's 3rd feature films. I like Hereditary, and love Midsommar. This one was weird and wacky about a man with high anxiety trying to go to her mother's home. I presume all that we see merely reflected his anxiety and not necessarily be the reality. It can be very frustrating at times wondering WTF is going on. It is creative for sure.
