Probably nothing since I'm only in a diaper at the time.

Saw all those films that year except the Natural, Bachelor Party, Rhinestone, Conan, and Temple of Doom. Mom heard Temple of Doom had some guy getting his heart ripped out so no matter how hard I tried and begged it was a no go. Think the only ones I saw first run were ghostbusters and karate kid. The rest I saw at the dollar theater.
I know a lot of people knock it but I actually liked Cannonball Run II. Of course I was obsessed with cars.

If I were alive at that time it'd be a tie between Ghostbusters and Gremlins.

I actually think that I like Cannonball Run II a bit more than the original. Well made? Well written? Any semblance of a plot? No, no, and no. It's just an excuse for Burt and his buddies to get together and have fun, and they invited us along for the ride. It was just one comedic sketch after another held together by the "race", but it worked for me. And what a treat it was to see Dean, Sammy, and Frank together one more time.

The Natural Popeye Doyle Where did you find this picture? That is from my hometown newspaper? Those were the movie houses of my youth. Sadly, none of them exist anymore.

That's the summer my dad dumped me with relatives at their seaside cottage. Got the worst sunburn of my life, no money for sunscreen. No money for movies either. My cousin and I were absolutely desperate to see Ghostbusters though. 👻🚫
