The big sleep from 1978. But only half of it, because I got confused by the plot. So, if that happens why continue watching it?
However, I'm going to try watching it again. This time I'm going to write down who the characters are... while watching it. And their motives if possible.
This was the second time I tried to watch it.

Nyad (2023) An aging famous woman swimmer (Annette Benning) took up a swimming challege. Annette Benning was okay. Jodie Foster played to friend and the trainer, and I thought she was excellent. The movie itself was not. Lots of splashing and torturing moment in the water. Rather than wanting to root for her, the film make me want to yell out just please stop already. Old Dads (2023) Bill Burr, one of my favorite comedians nowadays, wrote and direct this comedy that turn the table on the politically correct world, playing an aging man becoming a father. Unfortunately, the movie got so overdoing it that it is the flip side and as bad as the cringy politically correct movies. The jokes did not come out right, and came of mean at times. Yes, the situation that happened to him was ridiculous, but his reaction was not justified either. Think of it as a week comedy sketch. MH370: The Plane That Disappeared (2023) This is a three parts documentary exploring that missing plane that took off from Malaysia. Each part took on a theory. Interesting to hear, but no need to be 3 parts. Unfortunately, the whole movie was just on some unresolved speculation. It was still captivating about the thought process, but a bit of exercise in futility. The Devil on Trial (2023) A incident that the movie The Conjuring is based, at least according to what the movie claimed. A crime occurred and the defense was on hocus pocus stuff, that may or may not be real. Difficult to be convincing, and it is not doing a good job at that either. Just not a well made documentary. The Iron Claw (2023) A very touching movie of a wrestling family that fell on bad lucks. The pace of the 2nd half slowed down a bit, but there is a sense of strong exhibited of brotherly love. Zac Efron playing the eldest brother was terrific. Same goes for Holt McCallany playing the strict father. Tragic real life story. The Holdovers (2023) I was expecting a poor man's Scent of a Woman. Turned out this was quite good, and stayed with me afterward. Funny too. The performances were top notched. The story was excellent in slowly revealing the background of the characters. Alexander Payne redeemed from the disaster of his last movie, Downsizing.
