Toronto vs New York, to be played here in Montreal next week. I know barely anything about the sport but figured it would be interesting to see a "new" (to me) sport live.

Judge Harry Stone on Night Court was a former college lacrosse player. One ep. has him in uniform taking bets on a televised game.

I haven't seen live lacrosse since high school. Which is a shame because my college won multiple national championships in lacrosse, but nobody went to the games.
How much does a ticket to professional lacrosse go for?

Lacrosse was huge in the Great Lakes region. The Chippewas staged games in front of Fort Michilimackinac (Mackinaw City). The garrison troops loved to watch the brutal games and came out of the fort when they played. The Chippewas shot the ball into the open gates of the fort and rushed after it. The native spectators passed hidden weapons to the Lacrosse players who took the fort. And slaughtered the British

How much does a ticket to professional lacrosse go for? It turns out it's not lacrosse, it is BOX lacrosse, which is an indoors variation of field lacrosse. I wasn't entirely aware of it. I mean, I knew that lacrosse is normally played outdoors, but I had assumed that this was the same sport. Not really though: box lacrosse has teams of six players, as opposed to ten players in field lacrosse.
I paid $30 each (Canadian - probably about US$22) for tickets behind the goals. There were some tickets available in the middle sections for $50 to $80. Not sure how much tickets go for for "regular" games. This is a special occasion:

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2024_NLL_seasonI was wondering if it would be indoors, since February in Canada is generally not particularly hospitable to what is usually a spring sport, but I have no idea if it's meant to be played in the elements or not.

I used to run on a track at a high school and there would be women's lacrosse games sometimes going on the field while I was running and it was beyond boring - I'm positive those guys who were referees were criminals that the judge gave the option - "six months in a jail or referee women's lacrosse."

So that was last night. It was fun! Fast sport, lots of goals (final score Toronto 16-10 New York), some spectacular action, and even a fight with blood and everything that brought the sizable crowd to its feet - the highlight of the evening if you judge by the crowd’s reaction. I swear I will never understand that.
On the negative side, loud music the whole time, including during play. Is there any other sport that does that? It got annoying pretty fast for me.
