The Enhanced Games:- www.bbc.co.uk/sport/swimming/68248821Great idea! Rather than seeing who is the best at masking whatever performance enhancing drugs they're on, or having to suffer with bad asthma (team GB's drug of choice), just have open events where everyone's off their faces! Apparently the guy is hoping to include athletics as well - So we could see the marathon record get down to an hour and a half or something with them up to their eyeballs on EPO and bouncing along on these ridiculous shoes...

I heard about this, & it's stupid. 100m in 8.9 seconds... means what exactly until the next best drug comes along.
Believe it or not, but doping regulation isn't just about preserving sportsmanship, it's about health & safety. Maybe someone will swim 15% better than Michael Phelps, & then have a heart attack on the podium.

Believe it or not, but doping regulation isn't just about preserving sportsmanship, it's about health & safety. Maybe someone will swim 15% better than Michael Phelps, & then have a heart attack on the podium. Problem is a lot of athletes have heart attacks and die very young anyway. Therefore you could argue the exact opposite - Regulating drugs intake could be a lot safer. Rather than athletes fumbling about in the dark, trying to work out how much is "too much" and going to lead to problems down the line, we get a safer doping culture and potentially less deaths. Then rather than cheering for the kidney we think is producing the most EPO naturally (without any real 100% way of knowing that is the case), we can just cheer for the athlete who perfected his / her body to the maximum and produced the result with the most heart / suffering... Plus, we'd get to see World Records getting broken all the time instead of... Oh, wait, hang on a minute... And when they go up for their Gold medals maybe the clinical lead of the doping centre gets to go up and collect one too! 😂 Kind of joking about this but seriously, it probably would result in the most fair, open, competitive competition.

I'd watch this before I'd watch the real thing. Surely the Russians/Chinese will win all the medals in this one too.
