We got a power outage here yesterday (which has only just been fixed), hence why I wasn't able to start this thread. Thanks for filling in, claudius. Widows (2018). Wish Upon (2017). Jupiter Ascending (2015).

The Terminator (1984) The movie that puts the Schwarzy and Linda Hamilton on the map. I wish I have the mind blowing feeling again the first time I saw this. I saw this many times since. Yes there are weaknesses, like the truck chasing Sarah scene and the campy robot. Still, this was one damn good sci-Fi/action/horror movie, one of the all time best. Many likes the sequel more. I thought the execution of the story for this one was better. Still gives me the chill just thinking about the incredible story.

25TH ANNIVERSARY HIS AND HER CIRCUMSTANCES (1999) “14 Days Part 1” English Dubbed. YouTube
30TH ANNIVERSARY ACE VENTURA PET DETECTIVE (1994) The film that skyrocketed Jim Carrey to super stardom. I was already familiar with Carrey in IN LIVING COLOR. I saw the trailers and then saw the film on video that summer. The comedic highlight to me was Ace searching for the ring by checking out all the players who wore them. Amazon Prime
LOIS & CLARK THE NEW ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN (1994) “The Ides of Metropolis” Amazon Prime
THE SIMPSONS (1994) “Homer and Apu” This was the only S5 Episode I Never got a VHS Recording. Amazon Prime.
40TH ANNIVERSARY THE JEWEL IN THE CROWN (1984) “Ordeal by Fire” Ronald Merrick gets gravely injured fighting the Japanese at the Indian borders. Amazon Prime
50TH ANNIVERSARY THE WORLD AT WAR (1974) “It’s a Lovely Day Tomorrow: Burma “ Coimcidently, this episode covers the battle that got JEWEL’s Merrick scarred. YouTube
ZARDOZ (1974) John Boorman’s SciFi saga starring Sean Connery and Charlotte Rampling. I first learned of the film from a trailer on the SciFi Channel series TRAILER PARK, then read about the film from books like CULT MOVIES 2 and THE SCIENCE FICTION FILMS OF THE SEVENTIES. I saw a glimpse of the film on TV in the 10s. Seeing it full for the first time I was surprised to see John Alderton as a Mod. CBS FoxVideo Laserdisc
BLAZING SADDLES (1974) Mel Brooks’ first film parody starring Cleavon Little, Slim Pickens, and Gene Wilder, Harvey Korman, Madeline Kahn, and Dom DeLuise. First saw the film in censored form in the USA Network in 1993. A VHS gift for Christmas gave me the true version. Amazon Prime
BRAM STOKERS DRACULA (1974) Dan Curtis’ TV Adaptation of the story (planned for a 1973 broadcast but delayed) starring Jack Palance, Fiona Lewis, Simon Ward, and Nigel Davenport. Adapted by Richard Matheson, this is the first DRACULA story to use the Reincarnation Romance plot angle (which came from Curtis’ DARK SHADOWS, there is even a music box). I first read of this adaptation from the Crestwood Monster book in 1988. My first glimpse was from a CBS Broadcast on Thanksgiving Saturday 1992 (however I was watching 20 YEARS OF MONTY PYTHON (PARROT SKETCH NOT INCLUDED) and HOLY GRAIL on Arts & Entertainment so I only saw Dracula’s intro and his death scene). I finally saw the whole film on A & E in 1996. This is the theatrical version with bloody mouths (altered on TV). MPI BluRay
THE PALLISERS (1974) “Part Four” YouTube
90TH ANNIVERSARY LES MISERABLES: PART I- TEMPEST IN THE SKULL (1934) Part One of Raymond Bernard’s French film adaptation of the Victor Hugo novel. YouTube
Saw Parts Of: MY FAIR LADY (1964) I’ll write about this film on its actual Diamond Anniversary. I saw Part One at Tinseltown.

plus the last 3 episodes of Game of Thrones which I've put off for several years, having heard they weren't up to the usual standard. I recently watched the entire Games of Thrones series during the month of December last year. Re-watched Season 1-6, and season 7 & 8 were first time viewings. The last season did cop a lot of criticism, and I can easily see why. Personally I had no problems where they took the story (in those last 3 episodes), for me it was fitting, however is was sloppily executed. Came across slapdash and thinly thought out. Felt like an extra season, possibly in-between season 7 & 8, maybe could’ve ironed out some of those details/issues. But then again I think season 6 is where the series was beginning to slip, especially the writing.

lostinlimboI loved the first 4 or 5 seasons of Game of Thrones - at some point it seemed to just go on too far with too many story lines and then my son convinced me that the ending was bad....but eventually I caved just so I could say I've finished it. I am inclined, if time permits, to watch the first few seasons again, knowing how it all turns out.

Any good? I’m usually drawn to ship bound horror films. It wants so badly to be The Shining on a ship, and has a few good moments, but ultimately it's just alright. Wanted to see this because I was once aboard the Queen Mary. It's permanently docked in Long Beach, California, and you can pay to visit.
