Between the constant winning, the Taylor Swift stuff, the Travis Kelce stuff, the Patrick Mahomes stuff, and the Rashee Rice stuff, I think it's fair to say the Chiefs are becoming somewhat disliked. Here's Harrison Butker opening his mouth: Apparently, he also advocated for women to stay in the kitchen. Good thing all those women in the crowd who just graduated college now have a bright future to look forward to.... "Your lives will truly start when you begin living your vocations as wives and mothers."

I don't know whether to laugh or cry.
The entire statement is pretty wild.
He sounds like a member of the Taliban. 'Degenerate cultural values?' Such as women having jobs?

Gays being allowed to exist. And of course, the ubiquitous totally legal, post-birth baby murder...which is a thing they believe exists.

The fact that so many of them think abortions are just somebody smothering all the babies in the new born wing at a hospital is disturbing. We should start reporting mass shootings as abortions, maybe then they'd actually care about gun laws.

Do they? Didn't Peyton Manning already tell us not to listen to the 'liquored up kicker?' I believe it was the liquored up idiot kicker!

The schedule release is a baffling time of the year. There are probably a lot of fans who don't realize we already knew the upcoming opponents for every team months ago. It's set as soon as the previous season finishes. All the schedule release does is reveal the ORDER of these opponents. Leave it to the NFL to dress it up with hype and glitz, and we'll eat it up because... of course we will. We're obsessed with football, and it's May. Nothing stops this train.

And it'll get big ratings. It really is impressive when you think about it. Only thing that intrigues me is will Dallas be at the Giants ealy or late in the year. I take my son every year and for years they always played here late so it's freezing. Last 2 years it was week 1 so hoping for early!

One year after sending the Patriots, the NFL is now throwing the Giants and Panthers at Germany. Essentially a declaration of war.

If the NFL truly wants to build a market overseas why do they perpetually send the dogshit teams? Why not a match from among the Chiefs, Bills, Bengals, 49ers, Eagles, etc?

To be fair Germany got the Chiefs last year too, Tom Brady the year before that. And the Eagles are going to Brazil. London gets the Jags as usual plus the Jets, Vikings, Bears, and... Patriots.

The NFL is never going to be huge there. The NBA did their push forever ago but basketball was already being played in most of those countries. Our football will never be anything more then a niche sport there. And they can send whatever teams they want as it'll always sell out as it's kinda a novelty thing to go to a NFL game for them.

I believe it was the liquored up idiot kicker! I hope Mahomes learns this little speech verbatim and recites it exactly when he's asked about his kicker.

As I understand it the 'home' team has to volunteer to go overseas, so teams with a big fan base that consistently sell out typically don't want to lose a home game, so usually the 'host' or 'home' team is not gonna be one of the big draws. That kind of explains the issue.

I honestly just found out there was gonna be some kind of show for this. It's astonishing that anyone would watch such a thing. I'll be looking at the schedule to see when some games are that I might be interested in attending, but why would this be on TV? It's literally just a list of dates and teams.

And yet it'll have higher ratings than other pro sports live games! As sdm3 said, we're addicted to football in this country. They'll put a pretty bow on it, package it up, and the US buys in hook, line, and sinker.

Because it’s the off-season, and they know we’re starving for anything NFL, especially with free agency and the NFL draft finished with.

Because it’s the off-season, and they know we’re starving for anything NFL, especially with free agency and the NFL draft finished with. And apparently they're right about all of that, but I still find it bizarre. I tuned into the draft to see the absurdity of it all, and to see clips of the players that I don't really know anything about, but after a few mins I'd really only check in when my team was gonna pick, and eventually just looked at the list of picks the next day. Making a show out of the draft is odd enough, but making one from a list on a sheet of paper is completely absurd. I'm amazed that anyone would watch, but evidently they will.

What else can the NFL give us to sate our addiction? Shows about the grounds crew? Beer vendors? Caterers? Team medical staff? Parking lot attendants? Assistants to the traveling secretaries? I want it all!
