Now the Steelers are interested in Wilson and will meet with him. Multiple sources. I'll give them this - - I'm completely confused but what the plan is now. Do they want Wilson? Are they trying to make the Bears panic with Fields? Make Mason Rudolph come back? Just want to help Wilson out? Steelers co-owner Thomas Tull is in a business with Wilson, Ciara, and Russell Westbrook that is a subsidiary of Acrisure, the company that now has the naming rights to the Steelers' stadium. I'm not confident on betting on anything.

He's a solid backup at the very least. He looked good his rookie season, before getting jerked around by garbage coaches. This past season he had clearly lost all confidence, a change of scenery and lower expectations will do him good. This doesn't really shed any light on what the Pats are going to do though, because he wasn't starting for us whether we drafted a QB or brought someone in via free agency.

A wild card game revenge story is now on the clock. If the Jags aren't in contention, & they've the Patriots on the sked, I would start him. To that point, I was rooting for him until his reactions of failed drives became the norm. I'm glad the team pointed that out this winter, if QB doesn't have great abilities, at least show leadership game in, game out, for the full 60 minutes. I feel like that seeped into the team's apt defense just not taking the team cause as seriously, or having to feel the need to carry everything. I guess I was expecting a Kirk Cousins type QB after his very good rookie year; instead, he became as reliable as Mitch Trubisky trying to compete in a division with Josh, Tua, & now A-Rod. I hope the best for him, the league does need its share of Mac Jones' to come in off the bench. The Jags, the AFC South, is a good place to reset.

RB D’Andre Swift agrees to three-year, $24M deal with Bears. If that's an acceptable contract for a good running back, then maybe that 13 per year deal the Giants offered saquon could actually bring him back.

Mayfield 3 year 100M deal with the Bucs Jeez... I actually like Mayfield, but doesn't that seem like too much? I'm not a huge Russell Wilson fan - - but I'll take him for $1.2 million over Mayfield getting $33 million every single time.

Mayfield 3 year 100M deal with the Bucs Jeez... I actually like Mayfield, but doesn't that seem like too much? he $100 million deal has half of it guaranteed, and $10 million of that is guaranteed against injury. Essentially, that means that $40 million of Mayfield's deal is truly guaranteed, and it becomes $50 million if he doesn't get hurt. He's set to get $30 million this upcoming season, $30 million in 2025 ($20 million of which will be guaranteed) and then $40 million for 2026 — as such, the deal is functionally a two-year deal for $60 million

Very similar to the Daniel Jones contract.

Now Barkley has a career renaissance, running for 20,000 yards and 50 touchdowns while the Giants front office sits their with their thumbs up their asses wondering why he's playing so well.

So the Giants, who had a pretty good defense already but need all the help in the world on offense, let their only good offensive player go for the same amount of money they were gonna give him last year, and instead triple the amount of money and lose two drafts picks on a young linebacker... I don't get it. I realize they're gonna set up Daniel Jones to fail so they can cut him at the end of the season, but why prop up the defense then? They're gonna be bad for several years and have to completely rebuild so why spend and lose draft picks? This approach makes no sense. A relatively new coach and GM seem to feel pretty confident they'll be there to rebuild, but the way they're going about it seems to me that they won't be.

I actually understand not wanting to pay that kinda contract to an injury prone RB, no matter how good he is. What I don't get is if they weren't going to pay him, why not trade him before the deadline? Wasn't like they had a legit shot at the playoffs. You could've at least gotten something for him, but more importantly is control over where you sent him. Now they get nothing and he goes to a bitter rival. Doesn't make any sense.
