Cousins to Atlanta. Hand them the division now. He's coming off of an Achillies tendon injury, isn't he? Running backs move quickly. Saquon Barkley (PHI), Josh Jacobs (GB), Austin Ekeler (WAS), D’Andre Swift (CHI), Tony Pollard (TEN), Gus Edwards (LAC), Zach Moss (CIN), Antonio Gibson (NE) and Devin Singletary (NYG) all joined new teams yesterday. Meanwhile, Joe Mixon joined Aaron Jones among RBs released. The best remaining free agent RBs: Derrick Henry, Jones, Mixon, J.K. Dobbins, D’Onta Foreman, Kareem Hunt, A.J. Dillon, Dalvin Cook.

Seems to be a weird theme this year with free agents signing for their previous team's hated rivals.
Barkley to Philly Jones to Vikings Henry to Ravens Queen to Steelers

If it makes you feel any better, had Jones signed with Dallas McCarthy wouldn't use him. He always preferred Jamal Williams over Jones in Green Bay to everybody's frustration.

The Packers moves are a bit odd to wrap my head around. Love signing McKinney but wow thats a lot of money. He is now like a top 5 paid safety. Plenty of good safeties available id have gone a tier below I think.
The Josh Jacobs move is disappointing. I dont like that they cut Jones for him, who of course signs with the Vikings. It seems like the Vikings every year sign a former Packer. Jacobs got 4 years and 48 million yet im hearing its basically a 1 year deal with very little guaranteed year 1. I to this day do not understand how NFL contracts work. In baseball its super easy, you see the years and the total, end of. In the NFL its like trying to learn a different language. I always need an interpreter.

I don't think the Ravens will abandon the run in the middle of a playoff game this year.

Free agency starts tomorrow, woo hoo!!
Meanwhile, Report: Aaron Rodgers is at the top of the list of potential running mates for third-party candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who confirmed his interest to The New York Times.

Never understood that as Williams was just a plodder and Jones was electric. Seriously though, there were so many good RBs available that could be had relatively cheap and they couldn't sign ANY of them?

Aaron Rodgers being considered as RFK Jr's vice-presidential running mate. I'm sure I remember Rodgers saying something along the lines of the Jets needing to "eliminate distractions" in order to start winning...

Pats are quietly doing well in free agency. They re-signed Onwenu, Henry and Bourne; three of the better pieces of a bad offensive team. We'll have to wait and see what Bourne looks like coming back from a serious injury. Brissett is a smart move. He's an experienced starter that the fans will give some leeway, due to his Patriots roots. Of course, his seat gets hot if we draft a QB at #3 and he really plays lousy. The defense still looks good, but we have to address special teams in the draft. That kicker was garbage last year.
Overall these don't look like bad moves to me for a team in rebuilding mode. One of the local pundits was complaining about bringing back the core of a bad team with a bad locker room last year, but I don't think the guys I mentioned were part of the problem. The schedule is brutal, but again it's a rebuilding year so it is what it is. If we can struggle through it without ruining another young QB, I'd call it a productive season.

For me, the Patriots offseason truly kicks into gear with this year's draft. This one should be a fascinating one to look back on for most of the top 10-15 picks & teams. Once the draft unfolds, & seeing where they're aiming to find 'new program' draftees to pave the rest of the decade & hopefully beyond. Right now it seems signing the low hanging fruit, which is fine, that's part of all this.

Had a dream last night the Commies traded up for Caleb, the Bears drafted Harrison Jr. 2nd. & the Lions drafted Maye at 3. I asked (in a dream) what the Patriots did - they traded for 7 future 1st round picks... then the Giants took a center, & I woke up confused & laughing.

Minnesota just traded their 2nd and 6th rd picks this year and their 2nd rd pick for next year to Houston for a 1st & a 6th rd pick. That gives Minnesota the #11 & the #23 picks. Gotta figure they are trying to package those 2 1st rounders for a top 5 pick to get a QB.
