Would he have the all time best snaps to rings ratio? Well Henne is also a 2x champion just by sitting on KC's bench. Gabbert is the same, backed up Brady in TB and Mahomes in KC. If I knew that I wasn't one of the 35 best QB's in the NFL, I'd do my best to ride the bench of a title contender - including bailing on a team once their window was shut, to go find another.

That might be an even smaller category of quarterback that can pull off trying to do that at all. It seems to be reserved for aging and aged former starters. Like Joe Flacco could now likely choose where he'd like to be a backup... but I guess he thinks he's got a shot at starting in Indy.. but if any real contender with a young QB needed to fill their number 2 spot, he'd likely be at the top of anyone's list. Wentz got a great gig here, but I doubt he was in a position to turn down a lot of other offers.

He was the 3rd stringer for Buffalo in all four Buffalo Super Bowl losses-- before signing with the Chargers as a backup and losing Super Bowl 29 in blowout fashion to the 49ers. Fun fact: He was also on the Little League World Series team in 1974 that made it to the final and lost 12-1 to Taiwan. Though it should also be noted, he was the starting QB for the Cal Bears when they beat Stanford with 'The Play.' Tell me this guy's life wouldn't make a great sports movie.

That would make a great sports movie. They don't all need to inspirational stories about the guys who win the big game. Somebody alert Scott Alexander and Larry Karazewski. They specialize in writing true stories about people who nobody else would write movies about.

Are the Bills giving up on the Josh Allen era already? It practically feels like a rebuild over there.

Are the Bills giving up on the Josh Allen era already? It practically feels like a rebuild over there. Diggs had to go. He was bellyaching last year, his production was down and he was a non-factor in the playoffs. He was an ass in Minnesota, as ass here, let him go be an ass in Houston. Bet he won't have more than 600 yards in '24. I'm wondering if the Bills trade up now. The draft is rich in WR's but you could see a run on them.
It might be an off year for the Bills. The Salary Cap hamstrung them and dealing with crybabies didn't help. As long as Allen is there

After rebounding their 2023 with a new offensive approach, & all but throwing that approach away late 4th quarter losing to the Chiefs, again, chatter was they didn't even need Diggs anymore.
They need to move the chains, their era of trying to take the top off the defense isn't now. Allen's RPO's need pro-bowlers around the sticks, not 40 yards away. Besides, as everyone everywhere is pointing out, Diggs' attitude was unprofessional at best.

I know mocks aren't set in stone but there should be good options still in the 2nd round where they pick. I could see them double dipping at WR, maybe sticking and picking in R1 and trading up in R2. Guys like AD Mitchell, Ladd McConkey, Keon Coleman could be there R1 and the likes of a Jeron McMillen, Ja'Lynn Polk, Malachi Corley R2. AD is a popular pick for the Chiefs at 32 so stealing that pick from them would be smart. McConkey widely popular to the Panthers at 33. I really like Colemans value as his stock dropped via his 40 time. He won't be for everybody but I still like him.

Eagles playing Packers in Sao Paulo, Week 1. Funnily enough, the arena's home soccer team has an informal ban on the color green - worn by their hated rivals Palmeiras. So of course the NFL sends two teams that wear green.

5 more days until Christmas... & I'm prepared for anything now.
Maye A+ ...sit him through October, let him learn the complexities at practice, not f'n training wheels like Mac Jones was babied with out of the gate. Bills arguably peaking right now, Maye can start whilst Allen has more mileage on the division.
Daniels B ...I just think he's already reached peak athleticism & QB command combo. The NFL will dial back the former, & is he ready for the latter?
Trade out B+ ...sadly, I'm prepped, after 20yrs of this. Further building the rest of the team, like McVay's Rams or something, plug in a Bo Nix for 2025... there's worse outcomes than more young starting breadth.

If I were a Pats fan I would feel the same way. If Maye is there take him. I worry about Daniels frame and the hits he allows himself to take. People compare him to Lamar but Lamar knows how to limit the hits he takes to his body and is bigger. Jayden seems to go the YOLO approach and guys in the NFL are all bigger and faster. If Maye is gone I would want to trade out and hopefully get a haul from a team desperate like Minnesota.

My yearly for fun mock draft to see how many I can predict. 10. IND - Brock Bowers TE GA Would be fun if Bowers went to Indy. Him and Nabers are the two I've seen most often projected to the Colts. Not that I spend much time reading mock drafts - whatever happens, happens and the picks will fall where they will. But adding a weapon for Richardson would be welcome.
