It's main flaws (in my opinion): Super flat acting by Dakota Johnson, downright bad acting by the villain, too many sequences of nothing but bad CGI, and and very little superhero stuff for a superhero movie.
Positives: I'd still rather watch it than either of the crappy Venom movies that were successful because the world is stupid and we have turned our backs on the gods. Never saw Morbius, so I can't compare it to that.

Cannot imagine this being worse. i read about Dakotaโs minimalistic acting there, but I think thats part of her charmโฆ Well lets see tmr

I didn't think it was THAT bad. I didn't regret watching it, and at no point I felt like walking out. But I doubt I will ever feel like watching it again.

ok it was REALLY bad as a movie - horrendous dialogue - awful sound design and mix - mediocre cgi (and i rarely say that) - cheap looking sets (omg the โcaveโ) - Bad acting of almost everybody involved and i mean like super cringe - unlikeable characters. why make the teenagers So selfish and So annoying? Peter Parker was a hero in their age already, its not like their age predestined them to be such awful people. - impotent bad guy - laughable tech use - boring/ bad action
If i didnt have a major crush on Dakota I dont think I could have stayed.
This way I enjoyed each scene she was in because Inlove her face, but, man was the movie bad
3/10 and all 3 points are for Dakota. Who, and I say this with pain in my heart: was terribly miscast here.

Looks like this movie's legacy is gonna be a John Mulaney joke at the Oscars.

MADAME WEB has a relatable protagonist and enough energy to make the story fly by, but it's formulaic, the characters hastily move on from all the tragedies (past and present) they go through, and there are instances where a cast member has been obviously dubbed over. Also, the camera angles used in certain scenes don't seem to have a real purpose. If anything, they're as distracting as the Pepsi product placement. The title character has to protect 3 young women, and while their dynamic is fun, it's not that well-developed as a relationship. Part of the reason is that they meet around the 40-minute mark (most movies would've done it 20 minutes earlier), so the obligatory scene where the adult reprimands the teenagers for never listening, which merely happens a little later, doesn't feel earned. There are individuals that are revealed to be characters we've seen in other SPIDER-MAN movies in very forced ways. The actors might as well have stared at the camera while holding signs with the names.
5/10
