Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny (2023) Mindless fun. Better than the previous entry to this franchise. This time is about finding an artifact of Archimedes. James Mangold did a good job took over Steven Spielberg in the direction. Some very good de-aging work on Harrison Ford. Indiana Jones' side kick this time was a daughter of his archeologist colleague, played by Phoebe Waller-Bridge. Instead of perservign and study the artifacts, she wanted to sell them to make money. The actess was kind of stick out like a sore thumb though, very annoying at times. I Am Not Your Negro (2016) Documentary about the black experience in the words of James Baldwin, as mostly narrated by Samuel L. Jackson, through his friendship with Medgar Evers, Malcolm X, Martin Luther King. Contained many important words and interview on the conflict during the 60s that really still have not resolved. Cry Freedom (1987) Another excellent movie directed by Richard Attenborough. Powerful movie of a white South African editor (Kevin Kline) trying to expose the abuse of the black South African by the police force. The movie is really two parts. First half is about the friendship between the editor and the black leader Steve Biko, played exceptionally by Denzel Washington. The 2nd half is a suspense when the editor tried to expose the situation. I waited to long finally to see this movie. Rustin (2023) Important story about the behind the scene person who organized the march that resulted into the iconic Martin Luther King's I have a dream speech. Unfortunately I found the movie very dull. The movie even tried to be snappy rather than tell the story directly, only made it more confusing. Is it tried to be a amusing movie or a dramatic movie, failed either way. Chris Rock, not to the fault of his own because he was such a great comedian, just seeing at him, I was looking for a punchline. The leading role of Colman Domingo playing Rustin was very good, but I don't think it was great. Sometimes, I though he was overdoing it.
