First one was a classic for me, and though I don't see the point of a remake, I'm not going to complain about it. I will however be the old man yelling at a cloud when I say, FKA Twigs? That's somebody's name?

I don't fancy the look that much, but Skarsgard is an inspired choice for the role. I'll watch it for him alone.

Has anyone involved in the original movie commented on this remake? I'd be curious what they think.

"For the love of God, triple check those prop guns!" I wonder if there’ll also be a Rust remake. how about a crossover? The Crow vs Rust. Directed by John Landis and starring only Poltergeist/Superman actors.

It has lots of style but lacks the atmosphere of the original film version and comic book series. Could still be okay and surprise though, I think.

Torn between the possibilities that the best of The Crow is yet to come, and my reaction that Hollywood doesn't need AI to be soulless. Why not just come up with some new material? There's only so many stories that can be told, so what you do is insert new characters/perspectives into already done stories to give them a fresh outlook. Or, instead of making remakes of successful movies, try making remakes of movies that did not do so well. Give movies that couldn't make it a second chance. Just the phrase "remake of The Crow" already bores me. Its newness back in the day is a card already played. Why not try something else?

Also, he looks more like if Robin/Nightwing lost his shit and went bad.

The Crow First Reaction Slams the Reimagining as 'Unwatchable'www.msn.com/en-us/movies/news/the-crow-first-reaction-slams-the-reimagining-as-unwatchable/ar-BB1o3Dp2"The first reaction to this year’s reimagining of the Gothic superhero story, The Crow, has emerged...and things are not looking good. The reaction comes from Cliff Dorfman, the writer behind the likes of Warrior who was attached to the project for years before the studio decided to go in a different direction, who took to social media to declare that The Crow is nothing less than “unwatchable.” "If hypothetically, one happened to see a screening of @thecrow_Movie #thecrow which @lionsgate is releasing in August, one might say, its horrible, its unwatchable, dont waste your money, or cant believe its so much worse than the original. It is. And dont." Ouch. Dorfman has since deleted his brief (and scathing) review of The Crow, and at the time even tagged the studio following an early screening of the movie. He quickly reconsidered, deleting his post. But the internet always keeps the receipts, and it sounds like he was very much not a fan of the comic book movie reimagining."

Not that I don't doubt it's going to suck, but why would they preview the movie to a guy they fired? Sounds like there might be some sour grapes there. But still, his review probably isn't far off from the truth.
