turning 20 today. This sequel I think was better than the first? It's been a long time though. Honestly, there seems to be a decent amount of millennial/gen z nostalgia for these movies so another one with this same cast might not be a bad idea. Especially if they make something similar to Zombie Island or The Witch's Ghost

I think it's on par with the first which is it's not great and very juvenile but not the worst thing I've seen I guess. Haven't watched either in a while.

I wasn't crazy about either of em but I would say the sequel is a little better.

It's better in the sense that bringing back some classic Where Are You? monsters scratched some nostalgia itches and it slightly toned down the early 2000s humor, but it's still not as good as the animated SD movies that were being produced in the same period.

To be honest, neither this or the first did much for me, even in my youth. Matthew Lillard is great, and Linda Cardellini does as well of a job as she can with the material as Velma, but both Prinze and Geller are essentially playing parodies of themselves and the portrayals of their characters as written are not very likeable to make me want to invest my time in them. The humor I have never particularly found to be either clever or very funny for that matter. It is pretty wild to think that direct-to-video offerings like Zombie Island and The Witch's Ghost touched base on similar things that these live-action offerings attempted to do (i.e. reuniting the group and encountering authentic supernatural threats) and handled them pretty maturely all the while respecting what had come before.

Hated the 2002 Scooby Doo Movie. 2004 sequel much better, even better than the dull 2020 animated film.
