I think it’s generational. Lost was definitely the bigger show, but I think most people in my generation would say Damon (I myself had to Google where Boone Carlyle was from).

Hmm but TVD only started a few years after LOST did, and both were on at the same time for 2 years. TVD’s demographic skewed younger though - I don’t think there was much overlap in viewership. Also - that is shocking to realize. LOST feels so much older.

Probably the latter? I'm not sure I even knew he was in Lost before I started it, and his character was lame and peaced out early.
