Sorry, wanted to create a thread just for the series finale What's everyone's take on Nora's story about crossing over? Is she making it up? Is it for real? Are the departed definitely in that world she went to? Or did she just die and come back to life like Kevin? Discuss.

Her family was happy without her. She came back to the world Kevin was in and then very maliciously let him worry about what happened to her for many many years.

There are some confusing issues for me. I have to watch it again. Regarding Kevin: he couldn't die and when he did he would come back to life, I don't get that. And also is it possible Nora crossed over to some other dimension? If she went to where the Departed were, then the 2 lady scientists weren't a fraud. Color me frustrated.

I like when a show allows you to make your own conclusions, but I think this show should have tied things up a little neater.

I loved it.
It had the right amount of closure and had the added benefit of being a somewhat happy ending.
I loved that they managed to not only keep their word and not explain what happened, but also go beyond that to explain what happened afterward which turned out to be far more important and interesting.
Great stuff.

I suspect it did happen. Lindelof said they went through the story with a fine-tooth comb. I kind of wish they entire episode was set in that world with an older Kevin coming through later and the wedding ect being set in the post-departure world.

What difference does it make? The beauty of a vague , contrived , convoluted , confusing plot , is that you don't have to explain anything. Sky's the limit pretty much. You can literally write in anything u want with no worry of making it all connect or make sense. It's kind of the " in thing " now. Personally I just think it's lazy and horrible writing.

Lazy writing and painting the story into a corner with no place to connect it or take it. Pretty much making it up as they go. Such a joke.

I honestly felt Nora was being honest ultimately.

Great stuff. My god. Are u serious?! Since when is NOT explaining what happens and why ..great stuff?! So basically they could have thrown anything in there and it's all good? Why not throw some zombies in there..non of it needs to make sense or be explained anyways. The whole point of telling a story is tying it all together in a cohesive way that makes sense. If this is the new style of storytelling. God help us.

I would have liked to believe Noras story but I think that's all it was, a story. Still a great ending.

I would have liked to believe Noras story but I think that's all it was, a story. Still a great ending. Nora was too flawed in relation to her family to just pretend some type of closure. I don't think she would be capable of it or she would have already imagined that scenario
