In the opening minutes PSG are levelling assaults at Dortmund along the right flank, where Mbappe seems to be quite at home. 2-1 for attempts on target 60% to 40% for possession after ten minutes.

With 11 Dortmund men behind the ball, PSG's Gonçalo Ramos receives a quick through ball and whacks it first time from the edge of the area. It drifts just wide of the Dortmund goal.

Dortmund are happy to stroke it around, allowing the hosts to do most of the running without yet forcing a serious threat.

Billy Big Bollix Mbappe is too fast for his own good this time as he whizzes away on the attack only to leave the ball trailing unattended in his wake.

Two scenarios at this stage. PSG have three-quarters of the match left to pull back a goal or two. BVB are a quarter of the way there to seeing out a no-score draw which would see them qualify.

Jadon Sancho, excellent in the first leg, again strides down the right flank for Dortmund but his cross is cleared. He'd have been welcome by Ten Hagg at Selhurst Park last night but we know what happened between the two of them. It's still nothing-nothing on the half-hour.

BVB are getting into this. BVB are getting into this. Time to counter, they're saying.

Double whammy of chances, one for either side. Ruiz feeds Mbappe from the byline but he can't connect for what would surely have been the leveller...it's cleared and Adeyemi breaks free to the other end of the field. He goes it alone. He goes it alone. He fires! Donnarumma produces an absolutely necessary save to deny Adeyemi's shot. It's all-go before half time.

Referee Daniele Orsato from the Italian administrative division of Montecchio, Maggiore (pop. approx 25,000) has blown up in the PSG penalty area. It's Half Time. At this point it's looking reasonably good for Dortmund. 0-0 on the night, advantage Dortmund by aggregate.

Zaïre-Emery!
Zaïre-Emery for PSG!
Two minutes into the second half. Best chance of the game. Close range. Couldn't be closer. Can't miss. Can't miss. He missed.

GOAL DORTMUND '50
Corner floated in to Hummels who has space to elevate himself at the far post. It's a free header. It's a goal, powerful, direct, bang on target.
BVB two up overall. Well, well...

PSG are chasing this now, the ball, the scoreline, the men in yellow. It's Dortmund who have assumed overall control, knocking it about with ease, still mindful of a PSG threat but really looking confident, I have to say. It sounds like most of the home crowd, previously so loud and energetic, have gone for croissants and a lie-down.

Vitinha works it towards the Dortmund area and sends a promising low cross into Ramos, eight yards out and unmarked. Ramos swivels and strikes it first time - over the bar!
Mendes for PSG rattles the post with a 25-yarder straight after Ramos' miss!
Dear oh lor'.

VAR. VAR. PSG penalty? Dembele fouled. Ref said outside the box. Ref changes his mind. It goes to VAR. We wait.
Outside. Free-kick is all. Comes to nothing.

DORTMUND DISALLOWED GOAL
You don't need VAR for that. Hummels offside as he puts it in.
11 minutes on the clock, plus added.

Paris pressing. Paris knocking. But it's a no-go door policy from BVB - members only, pal, and right now we're the members and you're not.

They can't finish. They can't finish. Dembele six yard box. Can't finish. Rebounds out to Mbappe. Hits the bar! It's all-go and it's yet all no-go. It keeps up! Now Vitinha tries a 20-yarder - it smacks off the woodwork! You've never seen such unrewarded pressure. Another chance, I can't keep up, I can't keep track of it all. There isn't time to tpe one thing out before snother thing happens.
What about added time? Hey, 4th official, how much time? He indicates just 4 minutes. Minitos quatre, isn't it.
Name of Marcel Desailley, now Mbappe goes down in the box. There's a roar for a penalty. Nothing doing, says the Italian ref.

It's all over. Dortmund book their place at Wembley. PSG couldn't finish. BVB kept them out in admirable fashion and luck was with them also as their woodwork took a pounding. Dortmund run to the sea of yellow that is their fans. Some players are attempting to break into the stands, kept back by stewards. PSG fall to the ground.
PSG 0 BVB 1, 0-2 over the two games.
