Glengarry Glen Ross (1992) A long journey into the night of a bunch of salesmen. Take place mostly on two setting, the salesmen office and the Chinese restaurant nearby. Basically an all star cast with outstanding performance. The young Alec Baldwin had one short scene giving a speech to the salesmen, and could be his best performance. It was Al Pacino who got the Oscar nomination the same year he won it for Scent of a Woman. It is a play movie, written by David Mamet. Interesting dialogue. I love every minute of it. The Road Warrior (1981) The second Mad Max movie. After what happened in the first movie which was very grim, Max Rockatansky (Mel Gibson) became a wandering in a chaotic world that is lack of gasoline supplies. He came across a compound of group who produces gasoline, but defending from a gang who wanted to take their gasoline. The movie played out like a Western, with Max like a Clint Eastwood The Man with No Name character. Outstanding action and stunt work, with the highway car chase scene in the last 3rd of the movie as one of the best in cinema. You can feel the higher budgeting of this movie over the first movie. Less drama, but lot more action.
