I know Team Green people who are driven to the brink of insanity by how sympathetic they perceive Rhaenyra to be written. … And I suppose Rhaenys is kind of annoying me in her wannabe Olenna Tyrell kinda way. Found on reddit: Every Hotd/GoT subbreddit in one sentence."r/HOTDGreens and r/HOTDBlacks; My team victim and your team whitewashed." The show has been openly feminist from its introduction. Forget about power structures and weapons of mass destruction, it's all about a woman being denied a right. So while young Rhaenyra was portrayed as a bit of an entitled brat at first, the grown women in the show are all wise and moderate (even the White Worm regrets her involvement) until they fall victim to childish or devious men. Consider the show under this line of division and see how things suddenly make much more sense.

I found it hilarious that the twin actually got on a ship from kings landing, made it through all blockades without question (remember how easily the white worm was caught) and nobody even questioned for a moment that this is extremely suspicious? Why would the team black twin be coming on a boat when he’s already there. yeah right Yea there’s a lot of little writing decisions that don’t make a lot of sense. Blood and Cheese needing Halaena to point out which twin was the boy, for instance. It would’ve taken two seconds to reach down and find out for sure. Instead we pretend it’s something Halaena has to struggle with.

I don't know why Rhanerya is always so shocked that Daemon would go to such lengths. In the books, wasnt she aware they would attack one of the children? I don’t quite know. This might be a bridge too far but they’ve always shown Daemon to be a bit reckless and blind to the outside perspective. Rhaenyra was like that in her youth, probably what drew her to Daemon initially…but has shown to have grown up where Daemon largely acts the same when under pressure. yes he is very reckless , even his own daughter thinks so lol

It was ok. I kind of hate how equally unlikeable the majority of characters are tho. There are moments where I start to enjoy them and then in the next scene I will find them insufferable. I find hard to root characters unlike game of thrones .Maybe the fact they take so long to film seasons .

In the books, wasnt she aware they would attack one of the children? The book is a historical account collected from three sources. It often knows no plans or intentions, only events, public statements and rumours except when it draws from the court jester's account who throws in all sorts of speculations and salacious tales. The book, however, tells that Daemon was already in the Riverlands when Luke was killed, so there was no impatient waiting for Rhaenyra to return with pieces of him, no demand he could hear from her and no conversation after the fact. ah i see , so who does all the writing/Dialogue for the show? HBO or George RRMartin?

He has to finish Fire & Blood Part 2 before the show catches up The first two episodes were written by Ryan Condal and Sara Hess.

I find hard to root characters unlike game of thrones . That may be intentional. GoT's main mistake with the paying masses was to make them root hard for characters that wouldn't win and "subvert their expectations" with a "ha ha, got you" at the end. HotD will not repeat this.

I know Team Green people who are driven to the brink of insanity by how sympathetic they perceive Rhaenyra to be written. The dance of dragons being a morally grey conflict is supposedly the bread and butter of the story. Though I think it takes a lot of effort, and perhaps sour grapes over Dany and her fandom, to be against Rhaenyra's claim. The two characters I find all around decent on both sides are Luke and Helena, respectively. I find the characters of Daemon, Aegon, and Aemond all entertaining despite being pretty shitty people (and Aemond sympathetic in a way). The only two characters I really can't stand are Larys and Criston Cole. And I suppose Rhaenys is kind of annoying me in her wannabe Olenba Tyrell kinda way. Most of the characters on either side are terrible, and yet I find myself gravitating toward the green team for reasons I cannot explain.

Even someone like Cole, who is an absolutely easy to hate character…looked better by standing next to Gawyn Hightower.
