I haven't seen this sequel so I can't comment on it. I know that, like with the most modern "Planet of the Apes" movies, it has gotten acclaim for things like visual effects, performances, etc., and also was a box office/critical success.

this is one of the best films of the last decade. An incredible look at why two groups might go to war. It's kind of a more intelligent version of Avatar in a way.

Definitely my favorite of the newer Apes flicks. I always felt that this movie and its sequel should have switched titles, though. It seemed to me there was more fighting in this one than the next one that was actually called “War.”

One of my favorite movies. It plays like a slightly darker version of a 90s Spielberg flick. It moves so fast and still feels contemplative.

Awesome movie and trilogy. Look forward to revisiting all the new ones when Kingdom comes to 4K.

Hello guys, If you believe that Cornelius, Zira and CAESAR altered the past in 1973 and created a better Planet of the Apes (as seen in BATTLE), then these are my very detailed and well-thought POTA timelines based on the revisable timeline concept: TIME TRAVELLING ON THE PLANET OF THE APES potaplanetoftheapes.blogspot.comYou can also find detailed timelines for Burton's 2001 reimagining and the original 1974 TV series as well. Check my special files on all Planet of the Apes existing in movies and fiction. More to come! In the while, enjoy. Thanks.
