I never know how to feel about these biopics where the actor looks nothing like the person they're supposed to be playing. It's less distracting when it's a historical character as opposed to a contemporary celebrity.

These musical artist biopics just don’t interest me at all. Maybe if they did one on Led Zeppelin or Pink Floyd I’d find myself intrigued, but I just don’t feel any hype for these.
There’s so little excitement to be found and often very few new facts/insight into their lives.

There’s so little excitement to be found and often very few new facts/insight into their lives. I agree, especially lately. I highly recommend Love & Mercy though. It get's into Brian Wilson's (of The Beach Boys) schizophrenia, or what they thought was schizophrenia at the time, and how his therapist was taking advantage of him. The narrative goes back and forth between his younger days of making music and doing drugs and his later years where it focuses on his mental problems.
