Any fans of this movie? The second and last of the Jack Ryan movies starring Harrison Ford and James Earl Jones. There can be an argument on which of the two Ford Jack Ryan movies is the best, but this one has its share of fans.
Leonard Maltin Movie Guide Review: Clear and Present Danger (1994) - 2.5 out of 4 stars "CIA whiz Jack Ryan finds himself waist-deep in highest-level Washington politics when his ailing mentor (Jones) names him as his replacement. Soon he's caught in the middle of double-dealing with a Colombian drug lord. The always watchable Ford plays more of a symbol than a character here, and the action climax seems somehow pat. Still, it's an intelligent and entertaining sequel to PATRIOT GAMES. Followed by THE SUM OF ALL FEARS. Panavision."

Liked it better than Patriot Games, but as much as I like Harrison to me Alec Baldwin made the better Jack Ryan.

I prefer it over Patriot Games because Jack Ryan acts like a CIA analyst, meaning someone who uses intelligence and reasoning to reach his goals, as opposed to Patriot Games where he was like a proto Bryan Mills character.

I love this movie. Such a well made and gripping thriller. Also, I know a lot of people say Baldwin is closer to the Jack Ryan character of the book but I can’t imagine Baldwin pulling off the scene at the end where Ryan stands up to the president anywhere close to as well as Ford.
