We've seen what happens with sequels, a TV series, and now a remake for "The Crow", but what about a female version? Would fans/critics be more open to an "Erica Draven"? Or a story of Shelly Webster taking place of Eric Draven as our avenger?

I would have preferred that with the remake tbh.

I thought of a way for a female Crow movie to tie in with the original Crow movie.: The resurrected woman, who is a fan of Eric's rock band, dons the Crow makeup after seeing an anniversary news report on TV about the mystery of Top Dollar and his gang getting killed at the church, the police finding Eric's body in faded Crow makeup at the graves after he dies, learning about Eric and Shelly's original deaths, etc. All of this inspiring her to copy Eric's Crow makeup and his mission of vengeance.

Very meta, as the character wouldn't even have the power of the original, and thus would be an entity masquerading as the thing audiences are a fan of.

That could have been nice and a better way to go, but it probably still wouldn't do well. The idiots would cry woke.

Now it would seem like pandering, if they tried it ten years ago it could've been interesting. I could go for that, but as hard as this bombed, I think it'll be a while before someone gives it another chance.

I'm surprised they haven't done one yet, since the The Crow comic books have had female avengers from early on.
