Any of you ever seen this western starring Kevin Costner, Gene Hackman, and Dennis Quaid and co-written/directed by Lawrence Kasdan? This was Kasdan's second western after "Silverado", and second western with Costner after teaming up on "Silverado". Although it made sense from a financial standpoint to release this movie just six months after "Tombstone" became a hit film, many critics and fans find this movie much inferior to "Tombstone". At least this movie seems to be a well-mounted production with a decent cast despite many criticisms toward its length. Dennis Quaid is a highlight as Doc Holiday even if it's hard to not compare him to Val Kilmer in "Tombstone". Leonard Maltin Movie Guide Review: Wyatt Earp (1994) - 2.5 out of 4 stars"Epic-length biography shows how fate and circumstance turned the fabled Earp into a hardened and heartless man who killed in the name of law and order. Good storytelling grows ponderous toward the end, as Earp is driven by revenge against his blood enemies from the O.K. Corral. Quaid makes for a colorful Doc Holiday, though his equally flashy ladyfriend Big Nose Kate (Rossellini) disappears just as we get to know her! Special video edition runs 20m. longer! Panavision."

Only saw it once years ago, but I remember really enjoying it.
Quaid was a good Doc Holiday.
