Sam Raimi and the Coen brothers are friends and have worked together in the past, so it isn't really surprising that Sam Raimi would make a movie that takes inspiration from the Coen brothers.
Other than that the Coen brothers don't appear to have anything to do with the movie.

It didn’t even have a Bruce Campbell cameo. In the role that Gary Cole played, the third act would have been a bit more obvious with Campbell.

It didn’t even have a Bruce Campbell cameo. In the role that Gary Cole played, the third act would have been a long more obvious with Campbell. I read the novel and Cole fit his book counterpart to a T, so that was great casting actually.
