My last two viewings. Both directed by Altman.
I liked both, though M&MM is a step above GP imo.
The murder in GP was actually detrimental to the characters and story imo. They should’ve just played it as a pure drama instead of pump faking it was going to become a whodunit. 7/10.
McCabe is an excellently made and acted snowy western. It’s slightly slow, but never boring. Filmmaking at its best. 8/10.

Damn that's hard. I'll have to think about it.

Close call, but I give Gosford Park the slight edge.
McCabe is also great, though, and includes Beatty's best performance.

McCabe is a 10/10 for me, but I didn't like Gosford Park

McCabe & Mrs. Miller and it’s not even close for me. Gosford Park isn’t bad, but I find it one of the weaker Altman films I’ve seen.
