I don’t only like the first half, but Superbad. One year, when I was like 16 or 17, I watched the first half (almost) every night.
I tend to enjoy build up more than climax’s though.

First half: Jeepers Creepers Oppenheimer Funny People (barely) Second half: Twilight Zone: The Movie Orphan: First Kill Rogue One
Agree on Jeepers Creepers and Twilight Zone, I never thought about that but yeah, as soon as it switches to It's a Wonderful Life, my interest is just gone.

I am an anomaly, but I like the first half of Psycho better than the second.
There is the pacing and the subtlety. But I love how it changes into an entirely different movie for the second half.

I did ask about movies where you ONLY like one half.
The reason I didn't ask about movies where you like one half better, but still like the whole movie is because there are tons of movies like that. The answers would be less interesting to me.
