I think I had a dream the other night that England had a new manager and I thought "oh, Southgate's gone." Can't remember who it was, but it wasn't Big Sam. Despite the late equaliser, Southgate's gotta go. Surely we can do better than Theresa May and Gareth Southgate. Pack your bags and go, the pair of you. nah - international managers are built up - ok him picking the starting team on woodwards method may not have worked out completely today - but i think we do need to bring out threleaders - i think this off the pitch talk i good - its all about leadership - its all about not making mistakes - how the fck can we judge any english manager until tourny time? it truly is impossible,

The criticism of Joe Hart is OTT. He was beaten by two well-nigh unstoppable free-kicks from a player with a left foot to die for, who practices these situations, day in and day out..
Scotland's keeper, on the other hand had his worst game of the season. Gordon more or less pushed Ox's shot into the net and one or two other punches were less than convincing. If he was distracted by the sun then he needs his ass kicked for not wearing a hat and he had all the time in the world to see the high floated 40 yard cross that led to the equaliser, look around and DO something. Either get out and catch it or position himself to make sure that Kane had no target. He has had a more or less pressure-free season with Celtic but he looked a bit panicky here, at times.

True. And it's Hart who gets the pelters for actually wearing one! Crazy.

I think the criticism is fair. The first free kick didn't go right in the corner, and Hart left too much space on the one side. He may have done this purposely to encourage the taker to go that side, which makes it worse Hart didn't save it. The wall didn't jump either I noticed and I'm wondering if that was under Hart's instruction? Can't think what single benefit it would give by not doing it but anyway, the free kicks aside, Hart does not deserve to be starting for England after the past year.

Joe Hart, who will sit out the International friendly against France on Tuesday (yes, all you boarders who found it unreal that Saturday's game was played when it was - five minutes after the end of the domestic season - another International fixture!) explains how he missed Leigh Griffiths' two free-kicks. He had instructed his wall to jump...but not too much. The strikes weren't curlers...they were heavy. Griffiths used a different technique. The wall needed four or five Peter Crouch's in it.
"What else can you say?"

You get a real good feel of Griffiths' second pot from the fans' perspective at the game...unfortunately for them, they were not to know what was coming two minutes later.
Berserk fans celebrate for 2-1
