Next of Kin (1989)

This film's USP is its great cast: Patrick Swayze, Liam Neeson, Helen Hunt, Adam Baldwin. Bill Paxton, Ben Stiller and Michael J. Pollard also feature in supporting roles. All actors are good and have chemistry with each other, particularly Adam Baldwin who plays the villain with relish.

However, the plot is predictable to the core and the script just keeps turning the wheels and chugging along until the inevitable showdown and conclusion. There is no sense of mystery to the film, no twists or surprises of any kind.
