I finally got around to watching ST:V. I've enjoyed it more than I thought I would. I love the lost in space theme, and the ship being cobbled and patched together as they travel. The season 5 episode 'Course:Oblivion" was the most depressing episode, though. Holy crap. Seven and the Doctor have both had interesting (and similar) character arcs. I think what I like best is it feels like they're moving through space. They encounter different species throughout, and then leave them behind as they move forward, closer to home. Anyway, just sharing some random thoughts about the show.

I've really liked all the Borg episodes. Not certain what I'd rate it as a whole yet, I still have a season and a half to go. I think it's around a 7/10 for me at the moment.

As I mentioned in the Jeri Ryan b-day thread, I didn't watch Voyager during its original run on TV, though a friend of mine tried to get me into it. However, when they were repeating the show on TV here last year I checked it out midway through Season 4 and really got into it, watching through til the end (and even got Season 4 on DVD to see the episodes I'd missed).
I was surprised to find I pretty much liked all the main characters in the cast (which doesn't always happen with shows I watch, as there's usually at least one or two I don't like...sometimes more). Yes, some characters were better than others, and I think Seven of Nine and The Doctor were easily the standouts, but on the whole none of them really annoyed me too often.
I definitely think the Seven/Doctor dynamic was the most interesting. Jeri Ryan and Robert Picardo played so well off each other and there were so many memorable moments between their characters, some humorous, others very emotional, and both actors got some really excellent episodes where their performances were allowed to shine. I also found the Seven/Janeway dynamic really interesting as well. Honestly, Jeri Ryan played well off all the actors, I thought. Not only was she easy on the eyes (and she's still looking great today), but she had actual talent and could act - which I think some people don't give her enough credit for.
I still have yet to watch my Season 4 DVDs and catch the episodes which I missed, as I have so many other DVDs/Blu-rays of different shows to watch, but am planning to catch up sometime in the near future.

I thought it was solid, but it's definitely not a series I will watch again. I never came away from watching an episode thinking "wow that episode was great". That just never happened for me. It had a lot of decent episodes I thought.

for me DS9 9/10 TNG,VOY 8/10 TOS 5/10 Ent NOT ACKNOWLEDGED
I like DS9 for it darker vibe and much commentary somethings admittedly to get on my nerves but they are consistent inconsistencies TNG is the one that gives me hope and voyager as stated by others the lost in space vibe is cool but there are more than a few non-sequitur episodes some are cool but some annoy me. TOS- the pioneer but the writing annoys me to no end but i do have to remember it annoys me TODAY and is time appropriate doesn't mean it can't annoy me ENT- they failed to do RESEACH!!!!(using best uncle voice from jackie chan adventures)so therefore I DON'T ACKNOWLEDGE IT!!!

oh simple bringing forth races to THE FRONT who after that just poof not to mention a war that other than this crew is no where in the historical database AT ALL vulcans trying to spare the universe from the "monsters" being us well that part i can understand that's what i mean by not doing research. I would like to mention something said by the creators in an interview enterprise was an attempt to create trek without trek in the name since it is now called star trek enterprise i would say that experiment failed.

I love it. Always have always will. I remember being excited about it when it first came out launching the UPN Network.

I'm glad people enjoyed Voyager, but it (and Enterprise) were my least favorite Star Trek series. I liked (most of) the characters better from Voyager than I did from Enterprise, however.

I loved the idea for Voyager. It seemed like such a great chance to create some interesting stories where no man (not 'no one') has gone before. But it was a silly show and the reason I (along with most, I suspect) watched it at the time was because of Jeri Ryan. Putting her in a tight suit every week was a stroke of genius and saved the show. And I didn't really like the cast/characters and the way they combined the two crews early. But I did like the opening credits.

Voyager was the first Star Trek series that I watched from beginning to end as it aired. I have fond memories of the feeling of anticipation before each brand new episode. Having said that, it is not my favourite series - it only gets the bronze medal (DS9 gets gold and TNG gets silver).

It was a bit like the last words of Roy Batty in Blade Runner: Also a bit like the Pinbacker quote from Sunshine:Funny how sci-fi can be so powerful. It was actually more powerful to me with Course:Oblivion. I was stunned afterward. Such deep sadness for that crew who at the end so desperately wanted to just be remembered for existing. Janeway's log entry at the end was tragic. That single log entry was the only record that the duplicate Voyager crew ever existed. That's one of my favorite episodes of any TV show ever. If anyone wants to just check it out, make sure to watch "Demon" from the 4th season first. It sets everything up.
