i remember seeing this when i was a child so it was either 70's or 80's (a guess really).
What i remember was there was this little settlement/town and it was bare, sand everywhere and there were a crew of people in it looked like astronaut suits that walked around saw the emptiness of everything. It's as if there was some sort of catastrophe. The crew were inspecting the area.
I can't remember if there were bodies, but i remember the emptiness of it all.

Thanks There's also the remote possibility IF it was only one person in a spacesuit (and not a crew) of it being "Population: Zero".

Yeah, Andromeda Strain! I remember being freaked out as a kid when they cut a dead guy's wrist and dried dust poured out of the wound!
