The trailer www.youtube.com/watch?v=dxWvtMOGAhw And a great reaction by Andre. Classic, the dude is so hyped. He even explains how Marvel gave WW a week and said, "alright times up" www.youtube.com/watch?v=QN-WCHacRgI These two dudes are f'ing hilarious. "stop that, stop that, meowwww!" lolol www.youtube.com/watch?v=tH07YM7hlI8&t=233s
Can't wait for this shit, it actually looks interesting as hell and actually innovative and inspired. Going back and exploring a culture to the level of detail we can already see in Black Panther is what WW might should have done. Marvel hits that cultural impact dead on though and this trailer looks amazing. Check out the music, the color, the culture. It's killer.

^^Stanton may be a dumb man, but he is not that dumb, guys. He just pursues his old policy of relentlessly trolling the DC and X- boards, and terrorizing the MCU board into submission with his "the slightest criticism is treason" crap.

Psssst Just a lil hint here.... There's actually an MCU board..... I meant to write it in a way that emphasized that Marvel gave Wonder Woman a week and then dropped this to take back the conversation. That was more the point of this.

It's actually meant to be a discussion that Marvel gave Wonder Woman a week before they took back the conversation. You know they had this trailer ready a week ago, and right before the second weekend they sort of ended the Wonder Woman talk. I just found that interesting.

Why do guys like you have to make it a competition?

Why do guys like you have to make it a competition? Speaking for myself, DC just doesn't interest me much at all. They do have some great things and I'm more than happy to say those things are great, but on the whole I find the entire product pretty bland. Wonder Woman was good. Part of my enjoyment is being able to relate these films to the other films however, and so I doubt I'll ever watch it again since I know I won't be watching anything else in the DCU so far. If JL is ok then I might. IDK.
But also I don't know that there really is a competition. Marvel has been dominating the entire comic film industry since 2000, with only TDK as real sustained competition. And when Marvel created the MCU, that is when the industry went to the next level. It became a new era. The DCU only exists because of the MCU, and when DC's three biggest characters appearing on film together for the first time, got absolutely smoked by Civil War, it became indisputable who the brand name in comics is.
Marvel is a powerful marketable brand. DC just has a few characters people recognize.

Why do guys like you have to make it a competition? Good question. I enjoyed WW and then enjoyed the BP trailer. Fanboys however have a warped view that this is some kind of tribal war. It's pathetic.

And you think that if Marvel released the trailer last weekend no one would've seen or talked about WW??

The trailer is....fine.
There's nothing of great impact in there, no real hook.
For example Thor3's trailer had mjolnir getting shattered, those borderline oil painting shots of Hela, and finally......the Thor Hulk meet up, WW had the no man's land moment, the lasso/tank scene, and her fighting the soldiers in the room.
This trailer idk, there's no real hook to it, it's promising because of Coogler, who is an amazing director, but as a trailer imo....it falls flat, it falls short.

WW was a big deal and Marvel would have never released a trailer the same weekend. It's just interesting they only gave it a week. It's not like they had to release a Panther trailer this week. I think it was a little strategic to take back the conversation.

IDK, the images of Wakanda are pretty epic and that last slow-mo flip and landing on the car was pretty dope. It has a ton of people flipping out. The Dora Milaje are spectacular, the scenes and color are amazing, the costumes are brilliant, the music is killer, and the "it's hard for a good man to be a king" line is perfect. I do agree the Thor trailer probably has the better overall hook but this was solid IMO.

I don't know why, but I feel like I've seen those car flip scenes before, so that button to the trailer didn't catch me because it felt very reminiscent to other things.

There wasn't anything special in the Black Panther trailer. Absolutely nothing that screamed out "You gotta see this movie!"

I don't think they thought about stealing WW's attention. Probably wasn't even a factor.

Idk. I think it was about the great advertising opertunity of the NBA finals. I don't think they thought about stealing WW's attention. Probably wasn't even a factor. Well surely they were aware of it. They could have waited a couple months and advertised on opening day of the NFL. It's not like a Black Panther trailer had to come out now.

All he did was stand around and crack jokes while people died." Isn't that your mantra now-a-days. You'll probably give it a 0 without actually seeing it. Either way, I'm pretty psyched for it. Definitely looks to be a more grounded and smaller story regarding just Wakanda and not the world. Really look forward to Andy Serkis. I got a feeling he's going to steal the show. The music didn't sell me though.
