Another defeat at home against Bremen; how much longer will Watzke and Zorc keep watching this collapse?

Sportbild says Peter Bosz is gone.

Gotta be one of the quickest re-hired coach in history, Peter Stöger.
My prediction is this won't last long, as long as Watzke lets the inmates run the asylum there.

So Stöger is off to Dortmund, and Köln are winning.

They hire a coach of a club which has so far - and this for a substantial time - beaten the record of Tasmania Berlin?!
Maybe the team should coach themselves as some Bavarian players did when Ancelotti was the coach in Munich. I guess 18 points are now the new minimum goal.

3-4 in Köln, after having been up 3-0 in the 30th minute.
TBF, it wasn't really a football game, more like the Battle of Hoth (it's snowing so heavily they couldn't even find the penalty spot).
But still, Köln are a disaster, with or without Stöger.

But since this was a "six-points-game" and the next opponent is the FC Bayern, it is fair to assume that Köln is done. Most likely not as bad as Tasmainia Berlin, but they will be relegated.
How much did they get for Modeste?
Lol, around 20 mill in the end (taxes etc. pp.):

Augsburg one up against Hertha ... they're fourth now, and Dortmund down to eight!

Thank God, Hertha got a late equalizer. Augsburg still ahead of Dortmund.
Well done, Dortmund down to 8th now, this is all Watzke's fault. If that gamble with Stöger doesn't work out, he has to go.

"Nobody could have expected..." - yeah, that's not true at all. He was on their list of candidates in summer, ahead of Bosz actually, but Köln didn't let him go. The article even mentions that, so I don't know how they arrive at the statement that nobody could have expected that.
He's not a bad coach by any means, probably the one least to blame for the situation in Köln. Their failed transfer policy in summer plus an unbelievable injury streak are more important factors (they had up to 13 players injured at the same time, and had to call up four or five youth team players just to assemble a matchday squad).
I still think it's a huge gamble; he's the opposite from Bosz in many respects; defensive minded, a pragmatist, and he comes from a disastrous run in Köln and had no time to catch a breath, recover, or prepare for the new job. OTOH, it's difficult to see how he could do worse than Bosz.

In light of the injury crisis (13 players out) 1. FC Köln have moved for match registration of their mascot, Hennes VIII, the goat.

How do the handball rules apply to four legged animals!? As Maradona has pointed out, handball rules don't apply to GOATs.
