you do realize
that the tens of thousands
of
wasted lives
that everyone at the time
thought wise
to throw away
were nothing more
than
one more excuse for a belated
imaginary judgement day
where
there's an empty hall
with
no one left to say:
drop off the gurney
for
we've got thousands who'll pay
good money
to restore the artificial legs
our divinely inspired democracy
is
supposedly balancing on.
and
this is what they still say
to
this very day.
