Isn't literally every day in sports "Christian Day"?

This is not okay. The Cardinals are blatantly promoting a bigot, as well as discriminating against all non Christians. They don't have an atheists day at the ballpark do they? A Jewish day? A Muslims day ( imagine the outcry from the same people who will be attending the Christian day )? This is a blatant attempt to hold a right wing political rally at the ballpark by a right wing owner, and there should be backlash. But there won't be, because Christians, who claim to be some persucuted minority, are actually the majority and will claim bigotry if anyone protests.

They shouldn't. Religion should not be forced on fans at the ballpark, the same way they shouldn't hold A Democrats or Republicans day at the park, when you're at a baseball game you shouldn't focus on religion or politics, sports should be a refuge from that. I don't have a problem with people who work in sports being politically or religiously active, just don't make the game about your beliefs.

Apparently the Phillies have Jewish Heritage Night. I'm going to assume that does not fall on one of their many dollar dog days, where the ingredients are questionable at best. link

Interesting. I just don't think it is okay to make a game day a political or religious day, it alienates fans with differing views and it should be kept out of the workplace. I have no problem with people who work in sports being involved with politics or religion or giving opinions on it, but keep it away from the stadium, the games should be a refuge from politics and religion.
I think that this is pretty clearly just as much a political rally as a religious day, the Cards owner is a right wing donor and inviting a social conservative bigot like Berkman clearly shows they are trying to make a statement.

I hope they have Atheist Day, Islamic Day, Vegetarian Day, and Homosexuality Day. I'm sure these good Christians would be only too happy to allow other groups to be represented, and celebrate in kind.
