Personally, it's a no from me. I love the first two Reeve Superman films, they're wonderful, fun and influential in all different ways and of course the theme is iconic.... But it doesn't belong in the DCEU, it's had it's time. The Hans Zimmer Superman theme is bloody brilliant in my opinion and it manages to evoke all sorts of emotions including sadness, love, hope, inspiration and pure splendour. The John Williams theme is absolutely timeless but it doesn't need to make a return.

Yes, because I let nostalgia take over. I do, however, think that such a campy tune would clash with the gloomy, brooding score of the average DCEU movie. I like both methods, I just don't know if they'd fit together.

no, Williams score for Superman I is a masterwork, the actual SM themes (there are 2 of them, forte motive and the hymn theme) are just a small portion of it. There are so much many more musical ideas in this classic soundtrack (Krypton, parents, love themes etc). Williams is a brilliant composer (likely genius), Zimmer is just someone who plays a great composer (he will admit that himself). He is more of a Rockstar. His superman theme is effective, but lacks musical ideas and inspiration form a composition POV. That being said, the Williams score should not be milked, but left in the context of the movies. Each new incarnation of Supes need a new theme. Lois and Clark had a fitting (good) one, so does the DCEU Sues.

No.
Fuck no.
Look, it's a good theme............for its time. I immediate understood it was outdated when Superman Returns was released, it's like saying "Hey Danny Elfman's Batman theme should have been used in Nolan's trilogy and BvS"
You can take elements of a theme and adapt them to a more modern context, but to simply play "cut-and-paste" I feel it hinders rather than benefits those involved.
