Far too many I haven't seen yet, but for now my vote goes to Dark Night of the Scarecrow since I love the atmosphere in that movie.

I've only seen Bad Ronald and The Night Stalker from that list.
I think I've seen brief parts of Are You in the House Alone, but I remember very little about it.

My vote is for Ghostwatch ('92). I think it's brilliant: one of the best, if not the best, televised ghost stories of them all. It truly exploits the medium far better than any of its successors, in which I include the (often annoying and really kind of dull) much-vaunted Blair Witch Project. Wonderfully clever. It's also truly, spine-tinglingly scary--and that one twist, involving the time at which certain events take place (those who have seen it know what I mean), is ingenious.
An excellent production all-around.

It.
Remember one called Mikey? Probably early '90s. It starred the kid who played Andy on Family Ties. That was pretty bad/good.
Most of those on the list I've never heard of. I want to watch them.

It's a perfect night for mystery and horror. The air itself is filled with monsters.

Mine is The Midnight Hour. It's a funny, romantic and sweet movie. I always cry at the end.I love horror films made for TV.

Where's Don't Go To Sleep, Satan's School for Girls, Rod Serling's Encounter with the Unknown, Fortress?
You probably shouldn't have made a poll out of this. There's always going to be omissions that people will then overlook. As much as the Syfy Channel gets flack, they've been doing these for two decades and have produced over 100 horror / thriller movies, and they had yet to be represented in this thread up until now.

I wanted to focus on 70s and 80s movies. I can't include every TV horror movie ever made, but everyone can comment and suggest something different. I also didn't include King's adaptions because they already have their own thread. kimgoo As far as I know Mikey wasn't made for TV.

From this list, I would choose The Norliss Tapes. I agree that this shouldn't have been a poll, and that you should've just let people mention their favorite.

It's not listed there, but The Haunted. The true story of the Smurl Haunting. Movie was terrifying for a TV movie.

The Night Stalker is good, but The Woman in Black trounces that. There's one scene--which I won't describe here--that'll make you jump out of your seat!

Two that should have been on the list:
1. "The Cat Creature" (1973)-starred David Hedison, Meredith Baxter, John Carradine, Gale Sondergaard, Keye Luke. The ending of this one creeps me out to this very day! 2. "Don't Go to Sleep" (1982)-starred Dennis Weaver, Valerie Harper, and Ruth Gordon. I was going to dismiss this as a "Poltergeist" rip-off at first (Oliver Robins, the son from "Poltergeist", even co-stars in this), but found it quite frightening in its own right.
