The 'this post is hidden' thing doesn't show. Why?

okay, I was wondering I was seeing other people quoting posters who 'aren't on the thread' and who I have on ignore without seeing that strip.
out of curiosity, why did you remove it. I thought that strip was a good idea.

How do you block a user? I've got one on the STAR WARS boards who keeps posting the most ignorant stuff and the poster clearly means to rile people and just be a jerk. Is there a way to block him, so I just don't see his comments? THANKS!

Then in the upper right hand corner is a box with a drop down menu to block the user. It then gives you a list of options to block. I always check off all of them.

Thank you! I'm not one for drama, so I just assume quietly block people and just go about my surfing/reading/commenting, if it is clear that the other person won't clean up their act. THANK YOU!

So today I decided to block 2 annoying users and yet I can still see their threads... Yes I can’t see their posts in them, but I don’t want to see their annoying threads/thread titles either... The “blocking user” option is pretty useless then.

IMO some spammers and trolls are funny. I remember them from TV Tome and TV Rage, IMDb.

Look at the left of the post. The grid where you have the poster and his/her specifics/avatar on the left with the post on the right...
Click on the posters name over the avatar. When you get to his or her page then go to the upper right corner and look for the gear button. Click on that...
BLOCK POSTER.
When you get to the small indet box with 5boxes to check, check all that apply.
Click SAVE.
You will be redirected to your privacy settings page complete with all the cantankerous bajigaloops you have on ignore.
Double check you checked all the boxes you need for said bajigaloop.
Scroll down to the bottom.
SAVE CHANGES.
