I agree with Hotel Rwanda. Good film but no rewatch value.

The Road. That movie is just too depressing for me to watch another time. Also 12 Years a Slave. An absolute masterpiece and an incredible and powerful experience, but I don't think I want to experience it again.

The Road is one of my favorite books and I just recently watched it. Per usual, the movie was no where near as good as the book, so I might have unfairly downgraded the movie itself. But yes, don't need to watch that again.

I don't rewatch movies nearly as much as I used to. And I rarely ever rewatch dramas - even the ones I love. Among the movies I really enjoyed that I'd never care to revisit are:
Casino Gran Torino Invictus

A Beautiful Mind
And mainly other films that just happen to be too disturbing to see again. Good but too disturbing.

NOTHING. as a general rule for me... movies that i won't re-watch from time-to-time cannot score higher than a 5/10 as 6/10's start Thumbs Up status and movies that have no re-watch appeal don't deserve a positive score. or look at it another way... movies that are average-ish score a 5/10 for me and while that's not a bad score, as they are usually decent enough for a viewing, in the end it's a negative score because anything average-ish is forgettable and forgettable has no re-watch value. my rating system is very basic terms sums up movies as part of one of two categories... -5/10 or less = Thumbs Down (won't re-watch(with rare exception)) -6/10 and higher = Thumbs Up (will re-watch. but it's mostly my 7's and higher that see the most re-watches but i still do re-watch my 6's here and there but they tend to go a bit longer in between re-watches than my 7's and higher do as i re-watch my 7's and higher at least once every 3 years-ish tops where as with a good portion of my 6's can go quite a bit past that) with that said... so while i said 'nothing' for my answer in the topic i will say there are a fair amount of movies that i find enjoyable enough to see once but since i have no desire to re-watch them they are ultimately forgettable. hence, Thumbs Down as i can't give a movie a Thumbs Up if it's not a movie ill re-watch once in a while. ---------------------------------------------------------------- darkreviewer2013you mentioned 'Gran Torino' as having no re-watch value. but personally... i think that's got great re-watch value as it brings up emotions in me to a higher degree that are difficult to achieve in movies. it's amongst my Top 10 movies in general. i have seen that movie at least 4 times or so now.

Boyhood - 10/10, but not a rewatcher
Schindler's List - Best movie ever, in my opinion. This is why it's not on my list of "favorites" and why best and favorite are far different for me.
The Sweet Hereafter
Once Were Warriors
Dead Man Walking
Leaving Las Vegas
Black Swan
And several movies I saw at SXSW that never were picked up and distributed.

Schindler''s List Hotel Rwanda Passion of the Christ From this year A Monster Calls Why won't you watch them again? I'm the type of person that cries non stop through movies like this. I feel drained afterward. I saw Passion of the Christ and A Monster Calls in the theater and I sobbed through most of the movie. Sorry, I'm that person.
