Affleck clearly wants out. WB is trying their best to ruin their universe.

That's nice, but when does shooting begin is the next question. They originally stated spring, then summer, anything past summer Ben is gone.

Only thing I seen directed by him is Cloverfield. That wasn't a very good movie.

The WB press release was really odd. Studios alway promote casts even if it's not complete. To go through all the hype in the release for the Batman and never reference Affleck was more than just odd.
Plus, they said this movie has always been considered the crown jewel of the DC slate. Not Justice League, not BvS. What a bizarre thing to say.

Good! Hopefully he stays with the film. He's a good director, been following his work since Cloverfield.

Not buying Reeves statement. Seems he just wanted more money.
At least it's official. WB should have kept their mouth shut prior to officially signing someone on.

Only thing I seen directed by him is Cloverfield. That wasn't a very good movie. he also did Dawn of the Planet of the Apes which is pretty dang good, and Let Me In. Now Let Me In isn't as good of a film when compared to the original, but it's solid.

WB should have kept their mouth shut prior to officially signing someone on. yeah.........that's what reports were saying, now not him per se, but his management company (CAA). The company probably saw WB in need of a director, they also saw how the fan community reacted with Affleck stepping down from the director's chair, and how fans reacted when Reeves was mentioned, seeing that as leverage they likely pulled back on the deal, waited for the uproar, and simply waited until WB met their demands. The End.

Look it up. Fantastic news! Why is it "fantastic news"? After lurching from one failure to the next, WB now hire someone who they couldn't get past the first interview without having a blazing row with. It sounds like the DCEU is WB's very own "Springtime for Hitler," only less popular.

I think the Hollywood reporter went with improper wording, or perhaps chose to lead with something more controversial.
