A lot of similarities here. Both their teams lost a single game in the playoffs, with that one loss in each case being the worst game of Kobe and Curry respectively. They each played the role of sidekicks to Shaq and Durant, and neither won Finals MVP. The statlines?
Kobe: 29/7/6 on 47% FG 56% TS; 25 PER, 3.8 WS
Curry: 28/6/7 on 48% FG 66% TS; 27.1, 3.4 WS
Quality of opponent matters too, of course:
Kobe's Lakers defeated: Blazers in 3, Kings in 4, Spurs in 4, Sixers in 5
Curry's Warriors defeated: Blazers in 4, Jazz in 4, Spurs in 4, Cavaliers in 5.
Taking defense into account also, what say you?

2001 Kobe Bryant -------------------------- Plus, the 2017 Spurs had LaMarcus Aldridge and an injured Kawhi Leonard so you really can't count what the Warriors did to them. The 2001 Spurs though had Tim Duncan and an aging David Robinson. More Importantly, They had No Excuses.
