Overall I rate it 7.5/10. I really really liked it a lot even if I have some criticism towards it.
First act: Very colorfull. I do understand they need to tell where she comes from but it took a bit too long for my taste and the narrative about Zeus and Ares bored me. The fight scenes were incredible.
Second act: Best part of the movie by far. I enjoyed every second of it. The moment Diana steps out of the trenches and battles her way to the village and liberates it is incredible and one of the best action scenes in a CBM ever. There was one real negative for me. The people in the village speak Dutch as they would in that part of Belgium. But as a Dutch guy I could hardly understand it. It was spoken really lousy. It didnt sound native at all. And I wonder why the Germans didnt speak German but this is my biggest beef with all of Hollywood and theit biggest flaw. Let people from other countries speak their own languages. But that second act was near perfect.
Third act: DC continues with their tradition of bland third acts in this one. The God vs God fight was totally not interesting and had a big 'great beam in the sky' feel over it. It was all kind of predictable. Not a flaw unique to DC or CBM's. All movies to some extent are but in this case because you know Wonder Woman makes it out of it ok there is not real tension. I found the villain not really interesting.
I may get crucified but overall it felt like a MCU movie. That is meant as a compliment.
Hats off to Patty Jenkins. Very good job.

it felt like a MCU movie. That is meant as a compliment. Hats off to Patty Jenkins. Very good job. Wonder Woman is a DCEU movie, not an MCU movie. If it were an MCU movie, there would've been plenty of jokes and 1-liners about the soldiers with amputed limbs and the women and children killed by the poison gas. If it were an MCU movie, the war would've been treated like it was a big joke. Patty Jenkins did a great job of showing the horrors and brutality of war without trivializing it by bad jokes and 1-liners like an MCU movie would do.
And if it were an MCU movie, then the lead character wouldn't be a woman. The lead character would be a Caucasian male, like all 15 of MCU's movies so far and like both of MCU's movies that will be released later this year.
MCU wishes they could make a movie as good as Wonder Woman instead of all the crappy movies that MCU makes.

I knew you were pumped to say this and I went out of my way not to say anything to you about what I thought.
I was curious what your reaction would be and 7.5 makes complete sense, I agree.
I agree that the war shots were solid and that the third act got really bland. It did feel like an early MCU movie, and the comparisons to Thor and First Avenger that I and others have made seems very accurate.

Dude, no one is saying that Wonder Woman is a Marvel film. They're just saying it feels like one because of the lighter tone from MoS and BvS and the occasional jokes. Learn the difference, dumbass. But it's his review too. You don't have to agree with it, but this exactly what I meant when I said you bitch and moan about other people's opinions, because your a DC fanboy jerkoff with nothing better to do in his life other than pick childish fights with Marvel fans.

Reading and understanding are two different things. You have mastered neither. Its a DCEU movie. I know. It felt like an MCU movie because of the lighter tone and the quality of the movie. So if you love WW you really are in conflict inside your head now. Because how can you explain that you love WW while its everything you constantly claim to hate?

You present two alternative states as the only possibilities, when in fact more possibilities exist. Logical argument is another discipline not easily mastered btw. yourlogicalfallacyis.com/black-or-white

MCU movies are entirely jokes. Like I said in my previous post, if it were an MCU movie, there would've been plenty of jokes and 1-liners about the soldiers with amputed limbs and the women and children killed by the poison gas. If it were an MCU movie, the war would've been treated like it was a big joke.
2nd, as for his review, he can give his opinion, but I can also give my reaction and rebuttal to his opinion. Or are you so biased in favor of MCU that you only approve of pro-MCU opinions and you bitch and moan about anything that isn't pro-MCU?

So if you love WW you really are in conflict inside your head now. Because how can you explain that you love WW while its everything you constantly claim to hate? 1st, the quality of Wonder Woman is nothing like an MCU movie because MCU movies are low quality and Wonder Woman is a high-quality movie that has even mentioned by several sites as an Oscar possibility. No MCU movie has ever garnered any mentions of Oscars.
2nd, I never said I hated lighter tones. What I hate is the way that MCU trivializes war by cracking jokes and 1-liners in the middle of battles when people are being injured or killed. What I hate is the way MCU treats war and people getting injured or killed as a big joke.
Like I said above, Patty Jenkins did a great job of showing the horrors and brutality of war without trivializing it by bad jokes and 1-liners like an MCU movie would do. Patty Jenkins did a great job of balancing the lighter moments with the more serious moments. MCU has never been able to find the right balance and always turns everything into a big joke.

Poor Donald did I hurt your feelings? I even said I meant it as a compliment. 1. Wonder Woman would, if it was an MCU movie, in my personal top 5. But its not as good as Civil War, Winter Soldier and Guardians 1 & 2 in my humble opinion. And the fact that some sites claim is Oscar material says more about those sites than about WW. This year Doctor Strange was nominated for an Oscar so that is another lie by you Donald McHandegg. 2. In which movie did the MCU treat war as one big joke? Iron Man did not. Thor did not. CA The First Avenger did not. Thor The Dark World did not. What other MCU movie had a war in it? 3. Captain Marvel was anounced one year before Wonder Woman was. So I call bullshit You are a pathetic fanboy who cant say anything positive about the MCU because you hate the label on the package. If the same movie was made by WB/DC you would jerk of on it. You have claimed to be honoust and open but you really are a blind pathetic piece of shit! Im really done with you. I loved Wonder Woman. Lets see if your beloved DC can manage to get a second good movie out later this year in their franchise called DCEU. If it is it will be partially made by Joss Whedon whose contributions you will probably ignore. If it isnt you will blame Joss Whedon. And know this I will be watching your comments on Justice League and I will fucking destroy you if you act like this.

1. Wonder Woman would, if it was an MCU movie, in my personal top 5. But its not as good as Civil War, Winter Soldier and Guardians 1 & 2 Wonder Woman is better than Civil War, Winter Soldier, GotG1, and GotG2. Doctor Strange was nominated for an Oscar For a minor category (Visual Effects). I'm never going to boast that DCEU has won an Oscar while MCU hasn't because that Oscar win ( Suicide Squad for Makup and Hairstyling) was for a minor category. I'm talking about Oscars for major categories (i.e. Best Picture, Best Director, Best Screenpay, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress). Wonder Woman has been mentioned by several websites as an Oscar possibility for Best Picture. No MCU movie has ever garnered any Oscar mentions for a major category. 3. Captain Marvel was anounced one year before Wonder Woman was. 1st, Captain Marvel won't be until at least 2019, after MCU has already made 20 movies. Wonder Woman is the DCEU's 4th movie and this is only the DCEU's 5th year. 2nd, MCU already cancelled their Inhumans movie so given MCU's poor track record on female-led superhero movies, there's no guarantee that MCU won't cancel Captain Marvel either. You are a pathetic fanboy who cant say anything positive about the MCU because you hate the label on the package. Wrong again. I've said many times that Iron Fist wasn't as bad as the reviews and was actually much better than that boring snoozefest Jessica Jones. I've also said many times that Daredevil and Luke Cage are pretty good too. You have claimed to be honoust and open I am. That's why I gave Daredevil, Iron Fist, and Luke Cage a chance and they turned out to be pretty good. And that's why I don't rate MCU movies until after I've watched them to give them a chance, but so far I just haven't found anything impressive about MCU's movies. Lets see if your beloved DC can manage to get a second good movie out later this year in their franchise called DCEU. If it is it will be partially made by Joss Whedon Let's hope Whedon doesn't mess up Justice League like he almost messed up Wonder Woman several years ago: imdb2.freeforums.net/thread/36571/hear-whedons-ww-scriptIf WB had allowed Whedon to make the Wonder Woman movie that he wrote a script for several years ago, it would've probably been a bigger flop than Catwoman and would've put an end to any more female superhero movies. It's a good thing that WB passed on that crap and got the right director and right actress for Wonder Woman.

It wouldn't be close to my top 5, and it's not superior to the quality of most of them. It's a good film sure, but seriously there's nothing all that special about it, especially with the awkward final fight that seemed like a clip from a video game.
On top of the ones you listed I'd easily put Avengers First Avenger Thor Iron Man Age of Ultron and Dr. Strange well above it
and I'd say it's on level but not really any better than Ant Man, Iron Man 2, and Thor 2, which are all really fun films.
