I'm going with Hooch. Bethoven actually became a franchise though. There are like 5-6 of those movies. K-9 cop wasn't that bad though. The dog just wasn't as interesting as Hooch and Bethoven though.

In terms of the movies, I go with K-9. It gives me the most laughs.
In terms of the dogs themselves, I go with Hooch.

K-9 cop wasn't that bad though. The dog just wasn't as interesting as Hooch and Bethoven though. You didn't think Jerry Lee grabbing some guy's ball sack was interesting? I've enjoyed all three movie series. The Beethoven films were fine, but I didn't think were anything special. They seemed like typical dogs films to me. Just simple entertainment. I enjoyed a few scenes in Turner and Hooch. The scene where they are on stakeout, and Tom Hanks is talking to Hooch about all sorts of things was great...including the "tennis shoe laces" comments. The ending was good. But I prefer the K-9 Cop series. I'm a fan of James Belushi, and have enjoyed most of his films... Plus the relationship, between him and "Jerry Lee" were great.

I enjoyed them all but I'm going to go with Beethoven only because I love Saint Bernards.

Never realized that Turner and Hooch and K-9 Cop both came out the same year (1989). Beethoven was 1992. "Welcome to the party, pal!"
On a sort of related note, Kindergarten Cop was 1990 and Cop and a Half was 1993. Seems like that little period of time was trending cop and sidekick films (whether dogs or kids).

Only saw kibbles n bits of K-9. Never liked Turner&Hooch, the ending always made me sad. Liked the first two Beethoven movies.

In my opinion Beethoven doesn't really belong with the other two. I would have included Top Dog (1995) with Chuck Norris instead.

If you watch Supernatural .. look for Bobby Singer (Jim Beaver) as the plant manager in Turner and Hooch
