For example, today I've been reading vintage advertisements from 1908-1910 newspapers. I've been looking at ads for the early record industry, such the 4-minute "Amberol" records and the "Edison Fireside" phonograph.
Does anyone else on here ever read old newspapers?

...when I purchased my current house, I found (in the attic) a Chicago Tribune insert commemorative memorial issue dated in 1909 which was the 100th anniversary of Abe Lincoln's birth and was dedicated to him. In perfect condition which included half tone photos and one of his death mask...!!!

Matthew the SwordsmanOn Long Island, where I grew up, the local paper Newsday regularly publishes an extra section on Sundays in which they recopy something from their archives from 50-80 years ago. A very fun extra feature.

I haven't read any really old newspapers in quite awhile but a few years ago I was replacing the insulation in our home attic and found some classified sections of the local paper from the late '70s. It was fun reading the car advertisements, especially the used cars. For example, "1970 Pontiac GTO, 66k miles, $1200". Seems a bit high for the late 1970's, but nowadays that same car would probably fetch at least $50,000 or more.
