Trailer: I first saw this movie when it was on TV ages ago (back when we still have a VCR and video tapes to record on). I recorded it, watched it and really enjoyed it. It featured an attractive redheaded demoness named Veronica (Angela Featherstone – who I recognized as Chloe the copy girl from Friends and Linda from The Wedding Singer) ascending from Hell and arriving naked into the human world, where she proceeds to punish evildoers in an over-the-top violent ways (her ultimate target being a corrupt politician) whilst also falling for a human doctor named Max. I loved the fact that she had a dog named Hellraiser (he even got a credit in the cast list!) who she fed the heart of one of her victims to. She was awesome, tough, scary and funny (there are some really great moments throughout the movie). I used to watch my recording of this movie repeatedly, but sadly haven’t been able to in a long time since making the transition to a digital TV and recorder as our old VCR has basically given up the ghost. The movie also shows a really great representation of Hell in the opening (which you can see parts of in the trailer) and has a neat soundtrack with some very moody music (especially in the opening).

To this day I think the characters and effects make that movie one of the better and less cheesy Full Moon flicks of that era, though Arcade still stands as a personal favorite. I also enjoyed The Lurking Fear.

This one goes straight into my watchlist, as Full Moon Pictures rarely dissapoints me with their enjoyable productions. And as usual they have a great talent for coming up with neat looking movie posters, and that one would have easily caught my attention, anyday or time, at least compared to 99 percent of todays cheap and incredible dull looking film posters or DVD/Blu-ray artwork.

Fascinating film, scripted by Matthew Bright. A sequel was touted but never got made.

Fascinating film, scripted by Matthew Bright. A sequel was touted but never got made. Thanks for letting me know. I was unaware of that. Shame it never came to pass (then again, I quite liked/was content with the way this film ended, and I'd be worried that a sequel couldn't live up to the first film). Still, it's interesting to hear that there was the possibility of another one.
