I actually like the idea of a female director only directing a Wonder Woman film. I have no doubt there are great (male) directors who could pull it off easily just as well, but it just makes sense to me for a woman to direct it. That said, I seem to remember reading something that Patty Jenkins wasn't attached to Wonder Woman 2. Maybe that has changed, but if its true, then I'd love to see Kathryn Bigelow take on a modern contemporary Wonder Woman film.

I think I recall her being on the list of names for female directors that WB was considering for the first Wonder Woman film back in 2014. In any case, if WB does green light a second Wonder Woman movie (and I can't imagine why they wouldn't at this point), there's no doubt that the first person they'll approach is Patty Jenkins.

She's not signed on yet to direct the sequel, but she's obviously going to be WB's 1st choice.

I am sure that there will be plenty of other opportunities for a director like Bigelow going forward (namely, Supergirl).

I'd like to see Kathryn Bigelow direct any movie. Can't see why the sex of the director should matter. It never mattered when Bigelow directed male dominated films like Point Break or Hurt Locker.
