I keep my bread in the refrigerator. Who else does that? In fact I put half the loaf in the freezer and half in the refrigerator. That is the only way to ensure that it will be fresh when I eventually get around to using it. The bread in the refrigerator is ready to use, especially after a few seconds of warming in the toaster. When that is used up several days later I move the bread from the freezer to the refrigerator. I live by myself, there is no one to use up the bread in time before it molds unless I use this strategy.

Catman is a big fan of freezing bread. Now supposedly, putting it in the fridge makes it 'stale' but Catman finds the bread better from the fridge.
However, when Catman opens a jar of something he's going to use up immediately, the refrigerate command gives Catman a chuckle.
