Same response every time: Even as late as 2015, syphilis killed over 100k in a year, and that's *with* a cure in existence. So by his logic, heterosexuality is "harmful to humanity". Of course the only difference between those two is the tech state of the cure - AIDS can now be staved off indefinitely, but, historically, syphilis has killed FAR more people. So, again, using his logic, homosexuality won't be harmful anymore once its related STD is fully cured. If the factor here is determined by the STDs having sex can carry, AIDS has a ways to go before it's in the lead. He never addresses this point because... y'know... this is more about using the issue to foment forum drama than it is any real concern about homosexuality. Neither viruses nor bacteria give a shit about sexual orientation. They simply find ways to transmit from host to host, whether through mucus membranes or a shared needle or a blood transfusion.
The outbreak in the U.S., in scientific retrospect, started in the injecting drug users. There was an overlap with the gay community, and when it started amplifying there, the gay community became outspoken activists, something that injecting drug users weren't inclined to do. It was incorrectly labelled a 'gay' disease; it never was just a gay disease. Scientists knew that all along, only idiot homophobes still call it a gay disease after all these years.
And after all these years, that still pisses me off.
According to the CDC, you have to have vaginal sex something like a thousand times with an infected partner in order to contract AIDS. This is something they came up with on their computer models where any closeted homosexual gets counted as heterosexual. Homosexual advocacy groups didn't become "outspoken activists". They did everything they could to subvert prevention efforts. They got the laws changed in reguard to things like quarantine and tracking, just for AIDS, because the closeted ones didn't want to be outed, and thousands of people dead from AIDS was worth it. In conjunction with the major pharmaceutical corporations (including the ones who intentionally gave people AIDS with AIDS tainted blood), they ran a major propaganda campaign about how AIDS wasn't just a homosexual disease, in order to obstract huge amounts of taxpayer money fighting a worthless self inflicted cause. Even today, they are working to have the laws changed where if you knowlingly infect someone with AIDS, it will be legal. Have you been female circumcised? You should be.

“Arguably, what has constituted white evangelical Christian morality for 200 years no longer matters, which is to say we’re now a lot like Germany, a lot like France, a lot like England, a lot like the Netherlands, and what we have is a sort of late-stage Christian afterglow.” I like that last part because it's counterintuitive. A lot of people would say Donal Trump is too crazy Right wing to be elected in Europe. But all these character assasinations would have been less of an issue for him over there. In America, we have feminists who don't know what to do about First Lady whose politics they hate, who posed nude and may have been a prostitute, and somehow they can't find a way to weaponize this. America has a lot of prudes, but they aren't always who you think they are. Hillary Clinton was an openly pro-war candidate. How would that go over in Europe compared to America? The religious people supported Bush, maybe only because there was no real choice, but they supported him none the less. Trump is a major step forward for a Christian values. The Progressive Left who brought us both world wars can't own up to it.

My friend and neighbor, in a small town, acquired it from her husband who was an IV drug user. I was in the middle of that outbreak time, in the Infectious Disease ward, as he died of it and she worsened. She hung in until the protease inhibitors were developed, and her disease was managed.
I had other colleagues and family members infected or affected. I lived through that, do not pretend to know more about it than I do. All the nurses in the ID ward wore t-shirts that said "This is as real as it gets".
You are a homophobic idiot, and being put on "Ignore", jack ass. You know NOTHING about science.

Is there anything that doesn't piss you off? You seem to have a lot of anger.
