hitchcockthelegend Once again, masterfully reviewed, my friend! There are so many layers to discover, or rediscover. I did so, just yesterday. * Brody's hinted at fear of the water and the unknown terrors beneath. You don't go in the water at all, do ya Chief?* Quint's reasons for smashing the radio - He wanted revenge for the Indianapolis, or he just wanted the money? * Mike Brody's thick Massachusetts accent, thicker than his brother Sean's. * Bad Hat Harry is a very strong swimmer for a man his age. * Chrissie says, "I'm panicking" as she's clutching the buoy for dear life, something I'd never noticed before, but I watched it on Netflix with the captions on.

It was the first movie I discussed with the man who would later become my husband. He was so knowledgeable and impressive, I was hooked (lol) right away. During our marriage, we fished quite often. While surf casting, you could always tell who had watched Jaws recently. Those who usually went into the water up to their knees, didn't take their toes out of the sand, haha.
Interestingly, Jaws is based upon an incident in New Jersey in the early 1900's. This weekend I was in Atlantic City, and saw that a great white attacked a party boat, destroying their bait bucket. This happened in Ocean County, N.J. The captain took a picture with his cell phone.

A bit OT: Does it look frightening? The World's smallest shark, The Dwarf Latern Shark Nature doesn't always understand what a shark should be: This one with it's giant mouth only eats plankton, the Basking Shark. but probably looks dangerous when it nears. The one that looks like a vacuum cleaner, and that is what it does at the bottom of the sea eating the goodies that would otherwise cost a fortune on a rich man gourmet table, yet it's called a Hammerhead Shark, it can't hammer, that's were theor eyes are, they are not that dumb. And then nature creates the biggest shark of them all, The Whale Shark, and makes it the most peacesfull of them all, a slow-moving, filter-feeding character. Sorry for the distraction! Jaws 1975 is one of my top favorites, and it never fails me!
