Non of the above hehe
My pick is Hugh Laurie as Dr House but if I have to choose I'll go for James Gsndolfini, i have sort of personal issues with Cranston for taking the Emmy three times in a row when Hugh Laurie was nominated.
I can't forgive him that lol

Cranston's Walter White is iconic forever and McShane worked magic with genius writing, but Gandolfini was nothing less than a titan.

Al Swearagen because his character was utterly despicable.

that's a tough choice between James G/Bryan C as both are my Top 2 shows ever and both are great in their roles.
but since James G is one vote behind Bryan C at the moment ill give my vote to him.

Al Swearagen because his character was utterly despicable. After I watched the first few eps of Deadwood I though Al was pure evil and wanted him to die. By the end of the 1st season I realized he did what was necessary to keep what he had built up and he was one of my favorite characters. Now that's some serious acting right there. Despite how great McShane was and still is I voted for Cranston. Walter White had one of if not the most brilliant character arcs in the history of television and Cranston was perfect.

Do you think the 3rd season of "Twin Peaks" measures up to any season of those 3 shows?

We both know it's moments of slight entertainment drowning in pretentious self indulgent poop.

Haha ;-) Are you still going to continue watching it or have you had enough? Call me a glutton for punishment. I will keep watching although the last episode truly tested my ability to stomach nonsense. The bad thing is the 2 previous episodes were decent and somewhat coherent. Then we get demonic hobos and black slime covered frog crickets mouth raping a teen girl all to the tune of NIN playing far too long and discordant with an atomic bomb backdrop. How about you? You in until the bitter end or did you bail?

I just hope Lynch will not waste another slot by cramming an abstract short film that had nothing to do with TP's narrative. It kinda felt like a drug-induced version of the evolution sequence from "The Tree of Life"

Perhaps Lynch was pouting because Malicks adoring sycophants that worship nonsense was rivaling his own so he tried to upstage him. I might seem to hate Lynch but I don't. It's just very frustrating trying to appreciate his "art". He has the ability to create intriguing yet odd fiction that is unique but coherent and he far too often chooses to just be weird and unpleasant because he knows he can be lazy and self indulgent and still get praised because being incoherent makes critics wet themselves in ecstasy. He's such a egotistical dick.

He's such a egotistical dick. And do you notice that Malick's films got progressively worse after The Tree of Life (Which I will admit... I personally liked)? To the Wonder was rather meh but Knight of Cups was just a bore. And I don't think I'm going to bother with "Song to Song" since I hear it's basically just like the previous two. Back to Lynch... I loved Mulholland Drive. While I'll never be able to interpret that goddamn blue box (I don't think anyone other than Lynch gets that) but it at least makes more sense after multiple viewings for the most part and has an fascinating, noirish story to keep the viewer interested. IMO, I can't really pin-point anything that I felt was nonsensical. Then he did Inland Empire (which I thought was disappointing overkill) and I kinda feel like some of the episodes of TP have more in common with that than what you see from Mulholland Drive, Lost Highway or Blue Velvet.
